Smithe68, the original WFO 10 dates were July 14-15-16, due to low numbers, the organizers cancelled the event. A few of us who still want to make the ride are still going, unofficial from WFO 10, so if you want to join us, we are staying at the Red Lion in Idaho Falls. There will be escorted day rides, wet tee shirt contest and balloons for the kiddies. FJRay and I are going to meet in Mt Home on Wed,7-13 to ride highway 20 to Idaho Falls. If you care to join us, come along!

I think forum member Greb might be coming along too. He just e-mailed me this week. That guy knows how to go around a corner. When I met up with him for a ride last year his peg feelers AND the sides of his boots were all ground off.

That was a fine after-dinner dram in Eureka and a nice ride, also, back to the Sacto area.

I have a couple of different Ardbegs, and an Oregon malt that the fellow makes from imported Scottish peat-malted barley, that we really need to try and, hopefully, it will be sooner than next year.

Have a great ride and enjoy seeing Yellowstone for the first time.

As mentioned earlier, if you can hit Bubba's in Jackson Hole for a meal you'll probably enjoy that, too.

My WTF-0 Itinerary:

7-12, Depart Eureka, Head north on Hwy 101, to Hwy 299, take 299 to the far northeast corner of Calif, Altures, hang a left on Hwy 395 and layover in Burns, Or. at the Days Inn.

7-13, Depart Burns, Hwy 395 to Hwy 20 to Hwy 95 to Nampa, stop and visit my cousin and auntie, depart in the afternoon I-84 to Mt. Home, lodging at Best Western. Hookup with FJRay & Pillion for dinner?

7-14, Depart Mt. Home W/Ray & Pillion in tow and Hwy 20 to Atomic City? then to Idaho Falls? we shall see where the roads take us.

Any one is welcome on joining in.

Thanks, I was just there a few weeks ago, weather was less then spectacular, but it's a pretty awesome place. Spud took me on a short little ride that I imagine would be more fun with less wet roads, less cold and me more used to my FJR (prior to the 500 mile ride there, I had maybe a couple hundred miles under my belt). I need to figure out how to get this approved by the "appropriations committee" so close to my 20th anniversary and being gone for pretty much all of August and September (I swear it said 1 weekend a month, 2 weeks a year when I signed up!).

I've been riding alot and not paying attention to the forum so the news it was cancelled, kinda bummed me out, but really the ride is what it was about for me and reservations are made. I can be the guy everyone is trying to avoid but I'll be out there.
