Why does my new handlbar grips come too short?

Purchased some Pro Grips and the throttle side is 1" shorter than the stock grips.

because the FJR uses a longer than normal grip. measure the stock ones and look for a replacment of the same lenght.

I use BMW Sport Grips. They are a little shorter than stock FJR grips, but not a full inch shorter. IMHO, find a pair of grips that feel right to you and don't worry about it if they are not the same length as stock.
