I seldom read instructions. I'm sure it's a chromosone thing.

After looking at the Widder connectors on my new heated vest, I couldn't help but wonder what happens to the nifty electronic controller IF you reverse polarity. After all, the damn connectors are easily plugged in backwards with only the "Widder" logo embossed on one side as any type of polarity indicator. Guess what the little piece of instructions said...

This unit is polarity sensitive. However you cannot harm the controller by hooking it up backwards. Should the polarity be reversed, your heated garments will be ON even when the knob is in the OFF position.
Ever wonder why your Widder gear sometimes burns your arse up!!!???

:)

Here's my sign!

BTDT!

I learned as I clipped various wires and built my own battery to controller to Powerlet plug to jacket configuration mimicking Warchild's top-notch setup. Fortunately, it only took me 5 minutes and and a multimeter to figure out I needed to flip one of the wires.

Thanks, buddy. That explains why I couldn't shut mine off the last time I had it on.
