I'm 5'11". Started with the Laminar Lip on stock screen. Then I tried the Yamaha Touring screen w/o LL. When all the way down it shot the wind directly into my helmet. Worked OK up. Fugly though, and not worth it.

Decided to go back to the LL on stock. I like it way better. Just wasn't happy with the velcro mount system. Could never seem to get the glue flush to the shield which made it a collecting zone for dirt. Plus the velcro just looked like ****.

So I drilled four holes (8 really), bought some bolts, plastic spacers, rubber washers and acorn nuts from Ace Hardware. Works great for me!

I'm sure there may be a better solution out there but I don't want to keep spending money on things I'm not sure about. Happy for now.

I run the MRA in Summer and the Rifle in Winter.

Both are IMHO the best for each season.

I do not know of any other screens I would want. These two really fill the bill for year round screens.

I thought the stock screen was fine except that during the winter I was cold. I moved to a V-stream and it gave a lot move weather protection. I put some spacers under it and smoothed out the airflow. Then I bought a rifle and it is even better than the V-stream. It is smoother and gives move wind protection.

Go right to the rifle.

I agree with most of the feedback so far on this post, it really depends on the season in your area. Some windshield have better result for colder seasons than warmer and vice versa.

I like the Rifle windshield for winter riding and V Stream for fall and Spring and lastly, Yamaha factory for summer seasons.

This combination has been a positive experience for me, I hopes this helps :)
