I'l have to check my used tire pile. Might have one good enough for a weekend trip. Wore out the rear tire coming back from EOM. :)

If you give any merit to long range forecasting it is calling for 30 degree overnight and low 60's daytime for the weekend. That is some great fall camping weather! :yahoo:

It would be good to have you along. See if Dan is interested. We could use a good story teller!
Talked to Dan already. Unfortunately his job doesn't give him the liberty of free weekends unless he asks well in advance. He is definitely a character!

I'm going to run taking off next Friday past my boss... see what he thinks. I may be up for this trip.

I will be in the same boat as last weekend. I will, however, be leaving from work at 1100. I would like to head down to Duckies and get me some 56.

It would be so much more interesting if you were to "BE" @ Duckies @ 11. I'd almost debate meeting you there. & no commitment from me until I see what the weather is "actually" going to be. Cold & clear... ok. Cold & raining? Oh, hell no. Ya'll have fun. Lol! I'm still going to try clearing it with my boss just in case.

I think my used tire should have enough tread for a weekend. And I'm with Heidi on the weather. Right now it looks good for the weekend. :)

As far as meals go, will we be eatin' out the whole weekend? We've usually cooked at the site. If not, I will be packing some more comfort items instead of the "kitchen in a sack".

Also, which site at Watoga are we camping at? Going to try to get off work early to beat the NOVA traffic.

Ok, I've cleared this with my boss. Jay is also in if the weather looks good. We've kinda planned our ride out, too. I'm hoping the weather is only cold... & definitely waiting to see if it's clear. Just in case this trip is a go, I got my camp bag ready. I had to switch tents.

& Bob, where have you made reservations... or HAVE you made reservations. Need to know so I can make a plan.

As to the questions about food: we normally eat breakfast & dinner @ camp... lunch is eaten while out during the day's riding. Well, that's how it normally happens, anyway.

Bob, Jay had a suggestion about the best camping area @ Watoga. Seems its fairly close to store/provisions.

I am going to check reservations right now. I prefer Riverside at Watogo. That is where we usually stay. There is a store right outside the north entrace. good firewood too.

I will be taking the trailer, so I will have all the necessary gear for cooking. As Heidi said, breakfast and dinner at camp. Lunch on the road.

The weather isn't looking terribly bad right @ this moment. The worst & coldest looks like Sunday... just in time to pack up & leave. lol!

Bob, please be sure to post what site you are making reservations at.

I'd be better with a chance of NO precip... but I guess if it isn't cold enough to snow, I'm ok with it. After all we have Bob's tent for party cover.
