Scott, this should be a fairly inexpensive trip. I can't help with the time, though. Sorry we won't see you.

Yea, my remaining off time is being saved up for a ride down to central Florida to visit family later this year. ;)

I'll catch the next one... :D

I think my used tire should have enough tread for a weekend. And I'm with Heidi on the weather. Right now it looks good for the weekend. :)

As far as meals go, will we be eatin' out the whole weekend? We've usually cooked at the site. If not, I will be packing some more comfort items instead of the "kitchen in a sack".

Also, which site at Watoga are we camping at? Going to try to get off work early to beat the NOVA traffic.
I will be taking the trailer, so I will have all the necessary gear for cooking. As Heidi said, breakfast and dinner at camp. Lunch on the road.
All right then. Thanks for lugging the gear Bob. I'll set my course for Riverside. Should be heading that way early afternoon.

My ETA is around 1600...it all depends on how scenic I make the ride down.

I have absolutely NO idea what time Jay & I might arrive. We aren't planning to ride straight there. We are leaving this area @ 8AM. I'm assuming 4 or so. See you guys Friday afternoon. & Bob, did you send me the Garmin route? I haven't looked yet. Also, are you open to routing suggestions if there's any to make?

I am planning on riding straight there...just not the most direct route. Probably leave my house around 7:00 am

I suppose that I should clarify... by not riding straight there we will be riding the fun route!... you know... 56... 250 & the like. Oh, I forgot to say... we also plan to picnic in Montebello... right off of 56.

I'm also wondering if we're gonna' see more changing foliage than during the foliage ride. Probably... at least on the way out.

Well work just threw me a curve changing a meeting to Friday afternoon. If I have to attend the meeting I will not be at the campground until almost dark. That will be slabbing too!

Can't they just power the plant down for the weekend while you're gone and be done with it? No meeting required for that...

I feeling a little ill.....

Well it looks like this approaching storm is changing the weekend. Talking about just doing an overnight on Friday and just riding all day saturday eventually heading home. Changing from camping to hotel if we do that.

Did you find that the Marlinton area is calling for a 50% chance of rain on Saturday? Talk about sucking! An overnighter might not even work well, Bob. What the hell!

Ok Bob, looks like weather is changing. What was 50% chance of showers on Saturday is now 40% chance. Not much of a change... but it IS changing. Any thought as to where to stay on Friday night if we head out for an overnighter?

I might just have to bail on this weekend. It's a 7+ hr ride to Watoga, and if you guys are gonna go home Saturday...I don't see how we would be doing any riding together.
