Y.E.S. Price Hike?

Someone over on the UK forum posted that they got a quote for around $600 from D&H for a 48 month YES contract.

Was there a recent price hike? Could it be the result of all the included tech on the '06 (abs and lbs standard and AE optional)?

Anyone verified the quote?

When I bought my FJR, the initial price from my dealership was around $600. I knew from spending time on these forums that I could do better, so I declined. I think that's the "retail" price of the YES. Maybe D&H is no longer offering such a huge discount?

I just got off the phone with D&H. So far, the price for YES in the US is still $389. That could change, but they won't know until they start getting deliveries, or right after the first of the year. They do not expect a price increase, but won't know until it happens.

This has been confirmed that the price has NOT been raised (yet). Thanks to everyone who confirmed my suspicions. Apparently, someone from FL called and misunderstood the state constraints against buying "insurance" from out of state with a Y.E.S. rate hike.

Kudos again to D&H for being the "go to" folks!

That's why they are the "GO TO" folks, IN DEED!! Because that's where I am GOING TO to get my '06 AE AND the Y.E.S.!

D&H is in Cullman, Alabama. As long as you don't live in Florida, you can buy it there at a discount.

Do a search for D&H and you can get lots of information about them. I'm getting my '06 AND my YES from them.

The "key" word is Florida . IF you are a resident of FL, you must buy insurance (the Y.E.S. is considered insurance) from an authorized source within Florida. Everyone from the other 49 states may purchase from D&H.

I bought my bike in California and I bought the YES from D&H in Alabama. I did it all over the phone. They are great people to work with. :cownoy:

Hawaii folks can not buy from anywere in the lower 48. Hawaii is not part of the U.S. as far as yamaha goes.

But did you buy it at a discount? If you did, I think you're being a bad boy. Not that I care. Sounds like a stupid law to me. Not that I know much about it, that's for sure. Tell us more about you buying from D&H in Florida. Bet they aren't doing that any longer.
