YFO and Rueben Run 10 - Day 2 Lone Pine to VCS

Totally awesome ride on day 2.. Ancient Bristlecone Forest, new to me roads, bike running great, clean air too!

Yo DC, next time take Death Valley road ( just a couple miles from Big Pine) it's paved for quite a while and you can see Eureka Dunes where the road turns to gravel. Good place to turn and head back out, it's a very scenic road with a nice Joshua Tree forest too.

Stayed at that Motel with both my dogs coming & going to Ruben Runs 1 & 2, remember staying there after a stop in Yosemite after RR 2. Yosemite was closed due to Gov. shutdown, but I B.S.ed my way past 2 checkpoints & when I got down there, the fancy hotel guests were allowed to stay an extra day. So I parked there and we had a great time walking around without hoards of tourist. When we took that east Hwy back into Nevada, we were ride'n fast & getting hit with some mighty strong winds when we popped out of the hills , head being knocked side ways. I hate that!!! Sure remember it though!
