I am too tired to make a new thread so I guess I'll piggy back on this one. It was really cool to finally meet the famous Tyler, Old Michael and DR. Rich. Next time you 3 need to bowl so I have some competition :D

I didnt get alot of pictures because our fearless leader does not like to stop or ride below warp speed but I did manage to get a few.

DCarver met us in San Luis Obispo for lunch and had to listen to us all complain about trying to keep up with Richards pace. This is also where the group of six split up into 3 seperate groups. We still love you Richard even if your MPH average is more then your bowling score :p

The theory of relativity as it relates to driving:

Anybody that drives slower than yourself drives like a "Grandma", and

Anybody that drives faster than yourself drives like a "Madman".

All I can say is that Tepusquet & Foxen Canyon, were great roads, most of the sections had been repaved, and were in good shape. Beautiful back road country. Video to follow?

Wonderful pictures Tyler -- except for an overhanging butt. Looks you guys had a wonderful day and terrific weather! Makes me jealous that I almost want to live among the Californicators.

Seriously, you all looked like you had a wonderful time. I'm looking forward to more ride reports.

I took Foxen Canyon thinking I might see you guys but somewhere along the way I took a wrong turn and ended up back on the 101 at palmer road. Instead of backtracking I just decided to take 101 to the 154 and went by Lake Cachuma instead. Ended up getting home around 5pm with 1100 miles for the weekend including the winery ride. Now I have to clean all those bugs off the bike and the salt water stains from the area on HWY 1 where the waves were crashing onto the road

thats funny, I had 1100 miles also but was home at 3.41.....
R
Smartass :D

I live an hour farther south then you so should I even ask what took you so long. My ride included lane splitting from Pasadena to Corona about 80 miles of total suck.

I'll pick up the thread crossing Fort Hunter-Ligget. The guard made us all take our radar detectors off.

As soon as we crossed over to the other side, everyone put the 'tectors back in place. What a bunch of chickens! (me too, me too!)

John Dumke wonders why are we stopping? Isn't this the Fairlaner express?

This guy, BeemerDons, always has a good time..

We had a great time, good to see everyone again -

Frankly speaking, I think we kind of looked like a bunch of ******* going down that mountain. I didn't see any sparks flying, back ends hanging out going into turns or powerslides coming out of turns. Maybe it had something to do with the straight drop offs on the side of the road, minivans coming the other way on a 1 1/2 lane wide road, and gravel in the corners.

Maybe you can add some video or audio edits, like flames coming out of my pipes, sparks coming off the pegs, or an F1 background audio with a Ferrari engine sound as it bounces off the rev limiter. Or maybe we just need to kick it up an notch?

If I had plowed into the front of that minivan, that would have added to the excitement value.

I look forward to Tepusquet & Foxen, that was a little more spirited.

ShinyPartsUp, johnny80s, GalaxyBlue, Big-D and HYCLE: How in the hell did we fail to make FJRONAMISSION - Brian an Official Member of the Los Robustos M/C Club?

With classic Budweiser and burrito vault that Brian is packing, plus the size of his caboose, I just naturally assumed he was already a Los Robustos in good standing.

But no, I went to Master Roster and FJRONAMISSION is not on the Rolls! Well, he is on dinner rolls! Do we even need to call a vote on this? I think it's fully automatic!
