This ride comes out to be 205 miles. Leave Laughlin on River Rd to Needles, Ca; take CA 95 south to Vidal Junction, turn east to Earp towards Parker, AZ. Prior to crossing the Colorado river turn left staying on the California side follow river to Parker Dam. Cross the dam and ride toward Lake Havasu on AZ-95. Take AZ-95 to I-40 heading west. Stay on I-40 for only 10 miles, taking Topoc exit. Picking up AZ-95 toward Golden Shores, catching Rt-66 towards Oatman. After Oatman, return to Laughlin.

Besides fast food, there are a couple good little cafe's in Parker. There is also a cafe in Vidal Junction. There are a couple diners in Oatman also.

The road running along the Colorado on both the AZ side and CA side are nice rides. But the CA side offers little or no traffic and twisties. Lots of good places to take pictures if desired.

This is one possible ride. I'll come up with another later.

This ride is not as far at only 106 miles total. Leave Laughlin, ride to Oatman. From Oatman ride towards Kingman staying on Rt.-66. In Kingman a stop for lunch at Mister Dz. (I mention Mister Dz because they have great food and huge sundaes and banana splits). There is a museum across the street telling about Rt-66. Leave Mister Dz and ride to the top of the Hualapai mountains. Its not a real long ride, but it is nice. Return to Laughlin. If you have not been to the Hualapai's, it looks a lot like Flagstaff. Old Rt-66 from Oatman is twistie with sharp narrow turns for about 10 or 12 miles. On the way back to Laughlin we ride through some lower desert, then climb over the mountains before dropping back down into Laughlin.

This ride would be a nice lunch run with good eats, scenery, no interstate riding, mostly non populated roads, hills and twisty roads and a little nostalgia. For those that may never having ridden this route before, it would probably be the better of the two.

Alright, my fellow Zonies: Five weeks from now we're riding to Lauglin to meet up with Fairlaner and the SoCal Guys & Gals!!

I know Spudmanz, Wolfhound, Big-D, Donna and I are already booked. RenoJohn is also booked and he will meet up with us at the Intersection of the Bagdad Road and Arizona 93 - 1545 hours. Skoot, GSJane, Arte, Bad Cat: Get Signed Up Now!!

Spudmanz is still locked and loaded.

Anyone else leaving from the Prescott area?

Wolfhound: spudmanz is good to go already, he is going to hook up with RenoJohn in the Prescott area and meet us at 93.

spudmanz: Thanks for sending me your personal cell phone number. I will only use it if we are running late to meet you and RenoJohn at the Bagdad Road and State 93 intersection. The only thing that could hold us up would be an alien Martian invasion, or, once again SkooterG launching The Dirty Old Whore up into the air. Really not that concerned about Martians!!!

Buenos dias, Zonie Amigos! It's Chuy Medina "El Burrito Ballerina" back from Guadalajara y Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico.

Put 5K kilometers on "Ingrid" mi BMW R1150RT; rode with six other AZ Beemers, that most of you have ridden with before.

I just wanted to confirm our Laughlin departure point is still the McDonald's in Wickenburg at 3PM on Friday, November 7th.

I called the Aquarius Casino Hotel and Resort in Laughlin and there are still rooms available at the previously quoted rates.

Some food for thought! With this bad economy and many people's budgets being severely stretched, you may want to consider riding to Laughlin for just Friday night only. Our good riding friends Uri and Sylvia Schumm are doing just that, they are meeting us on Friday in Wickenburg to start the ride. They plan to party with us and go on Saturday's ride, then when we leave the top of Hualapai Mountain they will peel off from our pack and ride back to Phoenix. They've activities to do on Sunday and they'll also save some coin. If you would like to ride to Laughlin, but would like to save a night's lodging fee, please consider just going for Friday night only and enjoy a really fun day ride too! Don Stanley at 602-722-0427.

A week from today ten Phoenicians are leaving for Laughlin at 3PM from the McDonald's in Wickenburg, AZ.

There are still rooms available at Aquarius Resort for $69 a night and half of our group is staying for Friday night only. So, if you wanted very nice day rides on Friday and Saturday - and to party hearty with your AZ Beemer friends, but be home on Sunday to do chores, be with family, or watch NFL Football: Join Us!

Bummed here .....it seems I likey won't be able to make this.

I just got notified of a meeting that I shouldn't miss on Friday ...so it seems that will keep me from heading down to Laughlin.

Very sorry, I was looking forward to this ...and have Hotel room and sinning attitude already in place.

Should things change, I'll chime in ....but at this point it looks like I'm out.

bummed in Reno ...John
