I was over in Orlando today getting my TPS replaced. So I'm walking around looking at bikes out side while they fix my bike. They had 2 ZX14's that had broken oil pans from hitting something (man hole cover my guess). Both pans had holes in identical locations. I asked the service tech there and he said they've had to replace a few of them already due to lowering them. Oil was everywhere! ZX owner beware! Leave em up!

Not suprised really, THe drag racers will stretch and lower them to make them hook up better on the track.

I see R1's and GSXR's all lowered more than they were not hitting. Just putting out a word to the ZX boys is all.
But GSXRs and R-1s have a much shorter wheelbase, and their suspension may be a bit more taught. If the ZX-14s are longer and the suspension travels more....well, the rest is just basic physics.

Good warning, though.

Thats what I'm thinkin. The front wheel arrives an hour before the rider knows he's in town.

I have ridden off a curb and hit my oil plug on an S3 I owned. Not looking where I was going in a gas station. Most bike same will happen. Luckily this stupidity did no damage but on some bikes i'm sure it can.
