Thru the NorCal Foothills

This was MadMike's planned trip to intercept BearlyFlying somewhere between Oregon and Las Vegas, but we aborted due to scary weather forecasts, so 8 of us on 6 bikes ended up taking a scenic day ride out of Sacramento up through Plymouth, and um, somethingville (ask MM2, ok?). But we rode some very cool twisties with names like "Ram's Horn Grade"--can't you just picture that? Tried to take some fork-mounted shots and video, which I'll see if I can figure out how to upload. Sorry about the quality, especially after I just looked at OldMichael's shots of his ride down to Carpenteria. So if you want to see better pics, look at that thread. Here's mine.

A beautiful, sunny day with good company

Those were waaaay kewel! I'll get my pictures postd tonight.

It was a fun day and great riding in the low altitudes There were a couple of places I could see the snow-covered Sierras and I was kind of glad we didn't "go there".

Yeah sure, rub it in with video no less! I think Alan knows something the rest of us don't? He's always wearing that smile that speaks of an inside joke :lol:

Gotta agree -- nice day, relaxing ride, good company. We had to split from the group (all 6 bikes) at Placerville so I hope they remembered we'd be gone

Scary weather ain't gonna scare no canuck. Nice video, though.

Thanks for the tour, great group to ride with. Had to split in Placerville, the bike was due for the 600 mile service.

By the way, the video is much cooler if you make motorcycle sounds in your throat when you watch it. Remember to change the pitch as you go into the turns.
