FYI folks...Not sure if this has been mentioned but anyone can order the new part and do the swap themselves. The new part number is available in the Yamaha parts fiche and I looked it up here and it's 46.70. Here's the searched link (if it works.) or just search for this part number...

In a world where people take their dealer to task and hold them accountable for doing the recall work correctly, there are only ONE key solutions.....It doesn't take a perfect world. Now, for folks that changed their ignition themselves, that is a valid solution....not the case in this topic...

Why would you have a key made with 2 different profiles when the dealer should have fixed it correctly in the first place?

The TechBulletin from Yamaha states they keep the lock cylinder (meaning still use the old key), CALL THEM WHILE YOU'RE STILL PISSED.

Has anyone posted the actual dealer Tech Bulletin yet? I have a copy from my dealer showing the exact steps the dealer has to follow. I didn't want to wade through 14 pages of this thread to find out. I'll PDF it and email it to anyone willing to post it on their webspace for all to download...

FYI for anyone living in Florida....The YES price (and any other vehicle warranty) is fixed by the state. It was ~740.00 when I bought it last weekend after taxes for the 4 year. It would have been the same at any dealer and you CANNOT buy from an out of state dealer if you live in Florida...
