Looking for a video camera for the FJR

I've also been looking at a cam system for trips. I'm going to try the Archos Helmet cam and thier 604 WiFi digital recorder. Should have them the end of the week. Not sure now it's going to workout yet, but I'll past along some info about how it does if you like. I want some thing small and...

You might want to check out the Air Hawk as well. If you can deal with the increase in seat height.

    High Altitude Problem?

I've noticed the same thing as FuzzyRider. Mine did it a couple times on my last trip to Colorado. Both times it was raining and cold. The second time I had no choice but to pull over and restart it. Acted like it was out of gas. Didn't matter how much throttle I gave it, just wouldn't go. This...

    What I did this summer

Nice lookin' setup on the Hiway pegs. Looking at the same for mine. Already have the same offset pegs. Will the pegs fold all the way up without hitting anything if you want them out of the way?

    What I did this summer

Looks like a great trip. I've traveled many of the same roads. I live off 1061 just inside of the 335 loop. It's one of the very few nice roads around here.

Thanks. I'd like to make it to NAFO next year if possible and look forward to meeting everyone. Photography has been a hobby for many years.

I can't get the images to work. I keep getting an error about dymanic pages not allowed.

    5 Days 1882 miles

Just got home from a 5 day 1882 mile trip thru CO and NM. The mountain thunderstorms started every afternoon about 1:00 and lasted until sunset. Overall a very good trip. The FJR ran fine except for the too stiff throttle and surging at altitude. Just pulled over and restarted it often. Seems...

Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona Tracks/Routes Wanted

I've rode this area for years and can pass along several good routes, places to eat and stay. The road conditions are just something you'll have to deal with. The ice and snow during the winter months damage the roadways and they fix them during the summer. Just the way it is. Even the...

2007 Altitude Surging Problem - Members Wanted

Add another 07 to the list. It had 648 miles on it. Problem started at about 4500 ft and continued the whole trip, over several altitude changes. Damn near dropped the POS coming out of a hairpin turn at about 10 MPH. I gave it some gas to exit the turn and nothing. Glad I didn't have someone...

    AZ Highway 191

Yes, NM 32 is a good one charismaticmegafauna. I've rode it a few times as well. Another one is NM 15 from Silver City out to the Gila Cliff Dwellings.

    AZ Highway 191

I've ridden 191 serveral times. I always stay at the Rode Inn in Reserve, NM. Aint, nothing fancy, but it's a bed and shower. If in Reserve check out Uncle Bill's Bar for your favorite beverage (package only on Sundays) and Eda's Cafe for some green chilli. Leaving Amarillo, TX the 7th of July...

PCIII cures all ills!!!!!! Well, almost

gr8eyes which shop did you go to?

Does your '07 hesitates when lightly blipping throttle when cold?

So now let me rephrase the question to avoid 'controversy': when your engine is hot, if you quickly blip and release the throttle, does your engine hesitates? Yes

PCIII cures all ills!!!!!! Well, almost

This is a problem Yamaha should address and fix. I own an 07 FJR. The problem is Yamaha has leaned out the Fuel Injection to meet the new Emission Standards. The Power Commander isn't the cure. Yamaha should fix the problem before it sells the bike. The Power Commander will add fuel and help...

Worst Place to Live in the USA

The "armpit" of Texas Amarillo. Only place you drive in a straight line for 200 miles and never run off the road. It's cold in the winter, hot as hell in the summer and a calm day is any day the wind isn't blowing 25 to 30 MPH.
