    California Chicks Converge on Canada

Thanks everyone for following along. I know it was fun passing the baton back and forth!! I have learned that I want a new camera. I am so jealous of the clarity that Tyler gets with hers!!! *green with envy*. Tyler you are a wonderful traveling mate, any time in the future you need a "devil...

    California Chicks Converge on Canada

I am so sorry to hear about your friend but I am thrilled he escaped any serious injury. I feel I have been very fortunate with my Bandito. I tend to ride it like I stole it, in all sorts of weather, but thus far (knock on wood) have been fine. It's an awesome bike. The one thing i would add...

    California Chicks Converge on Canada

I awoke early on Castlegar departure morning to look out side and see that torrents of rain had taken over the outer world. The ground had rivers running across it and I knew this was definitely going to be a test of my FirstGear riding suit. I have no rain gear per se but the Kilimanjaro...

    California Chicks Converge on Canada

On our way to Elkford, BC. This was to be my third trip to the Nelson area, the first being in 2007 when I made my epic solo journey covering seven states and two provinces. I had only been riding for three years and was excited to take such a long and adventerous journey. I had a forum...

    California Chicks Converge on Canada

Funny thing, when I was in the motel parking lot in Castlegar looking at the Bandito among all the FJR, I was thinking quietly to myself, that they seemed very similar. I believe the Bandit may weigh a bit less, and of course it's faster  :P , but otherwise it's a very similar...

    California Chicks Converge on Canada

Leaving Grangeville was a wee bit chilly as the morning temps were barely 48 degrees. I was still stunned that since leaving Nevada we encountered very little "summer". Bundled up with my heated gear we headed to Montana. Tyler, bundled like a kid in a snowsuit! All the wild flowers were...

    California Chicks Converge on Canada

Well, I have thus far neglected to impress what it's like traveling with a celebrity. By celebrity, I mean the CanAm, what else did you think I meant?? At quite every stop, someone will approach saying, "wow, I've never seen one of these up close". That's just for openers, as what follows is...

    California Chicks Converge on Canada

Tyler asked me to post onto her thread so you get a more complete look at our journey...this is what i posted to my moto-blog at https://www.demenshea.com I am unsure why, but this has been the longest it has taken me to put together a ride report of a recent journey. Whether it was the...

snow tonight in going to the sun highay

Tyler and I are in Elkford tonight and we rode "going to the sun" highway today. It was lovely, but fairly busy. It opened yesterday around noon. We also rode to Many Glaciers as well. Today was a good day! Castlegar tomorrow, the long way!! :yahoo:

    BC Roads worth trying

Let me add one road not to be overlooked for those coming from Hwy 2 in Montana. The cut off along the west side of Lake Koocanusa is a most amazing journey. I and a friend did that road last year on our way to Jasper then to Castlegar. It was AMAZING!!! NF228...Find it!! WE ended up...

I LOVE those moments! I too have considered the Nez Perce since they covered soooo much territory and I've ridden through much of it with your same thoughts.

    Getting to NAFO

One thing about it, she's difficult to miss on the big red beauty she rides! I'll be accompanying the lovely Tyler on this excursion. I have ridden much of the area we'll be covering. I do agree the Spiral Highway is probably not to be missed, although it's certainly a "quickie", which is...
