    CCT install

I hate replacing good parts also. But..I had it sitting on the shelf for if/when it needed it and I had some time this past weekend. This is probably like an oil/tire thread. LOL The only difference is this thread hasn't been banished to NEPRT...yet. Thanks anyway...even if "the forum"...

    FJRF008: Cam Chain Tensioner Survey

A – the model year of your FJR. 2003 B – the number of miles on your FJR when the cam chain noise became apparent The bike has 63,000 mile and there wasn't any noise. Just a preventative measure C – what action did you take, i.e., replace the CCT yourself, have the dealer do the work...

    CCT install

Thought I'd comment on the CCT install I did today. THANKS yamafitter for the "how to" thread. And to everyone on the forum for their input. The only PITA is the lower bolt. Just follow yamafitters instructions and it goes ok. FWIW..the original tensioner was still in good condition...

    Purchase question for R6

Thanks Everyone I did email patch. I also asked the buyer if he would call the bank to see if we can meet there to make the payoff..then get something that says I'm the new owner. Maybe I'm overthinking this... Thaks again

    Purchase question for R6

That sounds ok I wonder if the banks usually keep the title there? I'm thinking.. ..if I met the seller at the bank and we paid together if they would give me the title then. Or..maybe something notorized that says the bike belongs to me now and they send the title later. Not...

    Purchase question for R6

Found an R6 for a good price but the seller owes money to the bank on it. He actually owes more than he's selling it to me for. I'm not sure how to purchase the bike.. I don't feel comfortable giving him the money then waiting for the bank to release the title. It all seem legit but..I'm...

    Waving at other motorcyclists

The low wave was started by harley riders..but it wasn't intended as a greeting. They were tring to catch the parts falling off the harley in front of them..

    Frampton Comes Alive 35

Can't remember the stations at Camp LeJune or Quantico..In Seattle was KJR..they had a guy named Gary Lockwood. A typical DJ in the seventies. I'll bet some Seattle folks remember him.. Can't remember the station here in west virginia. Of course I don't remember much of the seventies.. ;)

    Frampton Comes Alive 35

"We all were in the Navy so had short haircuts; my one buddy had a long hair wig he'd wear and then wouldn't sit by us......" I remember going to one of his concerts as a Marine. We had the "high and tight" haircuts. Some of the people at the concert treated us like we were aliens.. :lol...

The True Meaning of Veterans Day...

Thanks Patriot We sometimes wonder what we can do to help. I suppose the best place to start is the beginning. Our returning troops need homes. Thanks again for the info. I will also be checking into the patriot guard. It seems like the folks who are members have a sincere interest in...

    Makin' a change

Beautiful bike. I just went from a GS to the FJR. The GS had 140,000 miles on it and showed no signs of stopping. Great choice...IMO.
