Can you identify this vintage two stroke my Grandpa is sitting on?

It's a pity Gramps didn't leave you the bike instead of that milk crate you're riding...nice helmet, though :clapping:

    Going to the Dark Side

As a fellow resident of "Poke" County (Area 51-Southeast), I applaud your magnanimous acceptance of RH. May the farce be with you...bigjimbiker :yahoo:

    wrecked my bike

Apparently they have different levels of coverage for different states, like health insurance companies. I've been with them since 1969 and have had to use them three times with excellent results...bigjimbiker

    Riding in snow

I remember riding in the snow in 1972. I was in Galgary and had to get to Edmonton (about 180 miles). Got to the first truck stop I came across (probably 5 miles down the road) and stopped to thaw out. Couple of guys from Arkansas were deadheadin' to Edmonton in a United Van Line semi and...

One Fu*king month with no cigarettes!

 Would that be the urge of "fu*king" or "sm*king"?

One Fu*king month with no cigarettes!

Test Ride Nightmare!! Could use some advice please...

Way to go Dave, I also have an 08 AE and love it. Your story was quite an ordeal and I was taken by how frank you were about every detail. Your honesty and openess certainly paid off and in the end it appears that all involved are pleased with the outcome...a lesson for all to learn...

    AE u-turns

Thanks for sharing. I read your original post and, along with incidents in my own past, it helps me become a better rider. THINK, THINK, THINK! BTW, I'm orginally from Norfolk but have lived in the States since 1956...bigjimbiker :yahoo:

    AE u-turns

Excellent point, palerider, I have noticed an improvement...and as far as u-turns go, I simply put my sharpened pegleg down, roll on the throttle, power pivot around and off I go. :yahoo: ...not really, but sounds neat, eh? Practice makes u-turning easier.

Way to go Flicker but I did ya' one better, I took the foot shifter off! (it's rather unecessary when you're missing your left foot...) bigjimbiker :yahoo:

    A vs AE

How about those with no feet or artificial limbs? Maybe the thumb trigger is easier than the foot pedal. Bravo! :clapping: I've often thought that if I should happen to lose my right foot or leg as well, I could have the rear brake operated by a lever on the left side or the unified...

    Removing tar and road grime

That reminds me of something I saw at St. Pete's Quaker Steak and Oil's bike night last month. Some guy had a jet powered crotch rocket and at one point he fired it up and, goosing the throttle, brought forth flames about ten feet long out of his foot wide exhaust pipe. Unfortunately there was...

    YABJMT

, but there's about a 70 stretch of US Hiway 441 that runs from near Kissimmee, Florida to Lake Okeechobee that is about as empty as they come here in the Sunshine State and I kinda, sorta....well, I wasn't completely ignoring the speed limit -- I was aware of it -- I just wasn't complying with...
