    Vibration

I put FZ1 mirrors on my '04 yrs ago and like them. Pricey, but good.

    Is this good for me?

you know, I like my FJR, but I'm going to agree w/ RenoJohn about your choice. and for the comment about preferring the fuel injected FZ1, I recall the bike reviews when it switched over from carbs saying that the earlier carb 'd models were better in being smoother on throttle / or having...

    Tires

good time to replace them/there tires. In your shoes, I'd choose either the newer Michelin Pilot Road 2's or the Avon Storm Ultra 2's. Michelin is more common among vendors; Avon has the better road warranty.

    Is this good for me?

well Papa, I've the same '04 bike with 53,000 (never been asked to report the miles, BTW) ... must be non-ABS just like mine. Mine's never ticked; always started, ran; I use regular non-synthetic Shell diesel truck oil 15W-40. If you might overnight ride, the std hard bags are great. I'm...

Critique - how I handled sand in a curve

It's tough for grown old eyes to see into shade, if you're in bright sunlight. Been there.

Cancellation of Y.E.S. on sale of bike

wow, what a detail is my reaction. I've been helped many times in life, so try for a more "pass-it-forward" approach, and would have included the YES for the next guy, whether I profited from it or not.

    Windshield Auto Retrack stopped working

Hey Duster, can't quite figure out if you're trying to fix something that's not (really) broken. Mine's kinda going there too (very occasionally), but WTH.

    Ride on tire sealant question

w/o recalling the brand, was on a ride when co-rider discovered flat in the morning. He went to grocery store, bought sealant, into tire, rode 3 blocks & pumped up further per can directions: showed multiple leaks (~12) with green seeping out. pressure held. he ran that tire w/o further...

    Name my FJR

Well, assume here you're honest. So, if you called her "*****," then whenever you want to get out of a conversation, you could honestly say, "Well, I'm outta here guys - gonna head home to ride my *****," ... and then swagger out the door into the sunset - kinda like John Wayne.

    Trouble in Georgia

good for you. I'm there too. My rule of thumb is don't buy a vehicle from anyone under 30-35, because they need to get over the I-get-ahead-at-all-costs perception of our market system.

Pin hole in rear PR 2!

can't conceive of reliable internet based advice for a situation where you want to drill a second hole to patch the first holes leak. Sounds much like the plans to stop the BP Gulf oil leak... So, with a failed plug attempt as you describe it, I'd probably take out my wallet and buy a new...

    New FJR Owner

Welcome!! Hey, post up a photo of bike and you and your location. Where do you ride? Bet if your passenger wears hiking boots or M/C riding boots it won't be a problem. Vaguely recall thoughts about peg vibs when I first got the bike. Can't recall any solution that I did; probably again...
