    Truth in Advertising

I visited the Heart Attack Grille in January 2007 and tried the double bypass burger. Although the burger wasn't bad (and I infrequently eat red meat), the "nurses" on duty when I was a patient were nowhere near as hot as those in the video. :no2: I was there with 4 other guys and they sat...

    OK Midwesterners--Who Rode Today

+1 SS1000's and BBG's are one thing but I propose a Frozen Butt award to those who ride in temps below X degrees. :cold:

Picked up my new Adventure, dropped my new Adventure

You're lucky the cases didn't break off from the bracket. I've read quite a few ride reports in which riders had to get creative to re-attach one of those KTM side boxes to a broken mount after a crash in the middle of nowhere. Cool bike. Best of luck!

    GO BLACKHAWKS!

Glad to see the Hawks are rolling ... but I'm a Pens fan. ;)

    Going to Brazil

Three years ago, I spent a week in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Observations: (1) The city was HUGE and had a skyline that seemed to go on forever. Official population count was 18 million but it was believed that 32 million was a more accurate figure. Traffic was brutal and displays of poverty (ie...

    Good folks here

Wow! This is by far the most serious post I've ever seen from the Joker. Could it be the spirit of the season is upon him? :unknw: BTW, all kidding aside, I agree that there seems to be a mutual respect among this group that fosters trust and good will.

    Recall for Kawasaki C14

+1 I maintain the popular belief that, if you're gonna buy a newly-released vehicle, you have to accept that there may be kinks that need to be worked out. As such, I prefer to buy later model years.

    WTB Iron Butt video

Good point. It'd be interesting to compare the total costs to the participants after it was all said and done.

Air fare - Chicago to Calgary

I don't know the specific dates but I entered a search into Orbitz (leaving mid-June on a Thursday and returning on a Monday) and found fares from $352 - $641.

    WTB Iron Butt video

I also want the video but, actually, I was thinking the same thing. Race you to eBay...

    FJR1400 Coming Soon!

I hope Yamaha builds it so that all the guys who think newer and bigger is better will feel compelled to ....ahem....upgrade and I can buy my next Gen 1 or Gen 2 for a mere song! :D

    Saddle Sore 1000

Congrats! Will you be looking forward to registering for the 2011 IBR?

Do you ever get the urge to try something totally different?

You and a million other people. Those bikes are everywhere. When I was in Colorado last summer, it seemed that every other bike was a GS dressed exactly like the one Evilmedic has on order. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the bike or wanting one. In fact, I enjoy Advrider since...

    Jesse James ride to Tuktoyuktuk

Yikes! And I thought it was cold here in Chicago yesterday. Isn't that the same Kurt Wainman who owned a truck company on "Ice Road Truckers" last season? Business must be good to afford a $24k GS for a one-night camping trip. The flames, however, gotta go. :D

Oh my. At least it's Friday.

    After holidays

If I'm back in town, I'll be there. Depends on whether we travel back on Saturday afternoon or that Sunday morn. Taylor Brewing Company sounds interesting. I should scout that place and sample the beverages.

    Why do men ride motorcycles?

Yeah, but it doesn't count when you get flashed by a MAN! ;)

    Dream ride?

Tough to pin down one so I'll name a couple aside from Alaska: -South to Tiera del Fuego -Africa -Europe eastward and into Asia The problem is not the dreaming ...it's finding the $$$ and the time.

    2009 Utah 1088

I sent my registration in. Steve the rallymaster says 15 spots are still open and the rally usually fills by Christmas (but the state of the economy may be slowing things down a bit). Who else is planning on it?
