Sport Touring ride on July 1

Well, didn't get to meet you Randy, but a few of us did get to watch your group (almost all FJR's) proceeding on the 5 counties ride. We stopped fos gas... Met FJRski & Eric & Glenn (on a Connie) & wives & we had a real nice ride. Ended up back at the diner for some chow before the ride home...

    Where to buy Givi stuff

I bought my C46 & rack from rlmotorcycles 2 years ago, at the time they had the best price with shipping. Had a problem with one of the parts I ordered & they took care of me pronto with no argument or problems. Small company, nice folks to do business with.

    Suspension comparison

Suspension neophyte here... Did the middle of the road Wilburs rear shock & the front springs with the GB, had Klaus install & calibrate. Love the handling change over stock but don't have anything other than cruiser experience to compare it to (i.e. no Blackbird in my past...). As a side note...

    2008 cross country trip

Last year did the ride to WFO at Reno, then over to the Kali coast above San Fran, back over to Colorado to see my dad, then home. Lots of riding. My riding buddy wasn't comfortable with night riding, which really put a crimp in the ride logistics. Myself, I would've rather really burned butt...

    Not something to laugh at

I've never seen that before. I'm surprised at the lack of cornering technique & body/bike lean, don't those boys know how to turn a bike ? Hope I never do that...

    Customer with big feet

I don't see what the problem is. The shifter adjusts closer or farther away with loosening either one bolt or two. Just look at the shifter & it should jump right out at yah. I had to do the adjustment to accomodate my riding boots so they would fit under the shift lever easily (about 1 3/4...

Just returned from my first X country trip on my new 06.

Yeah it's a fun bike for a long ride, you can ride 4 hours or you can ride all day or you can ride all day & a good part of the night (Confession: I replaced the factory seat). The FJR is lots more fun as a distance bike than my old cruiser, faster, handles way better too. Congrats on the good...

Put my money where my mouth was!

The thought of trying to do the Cross Bronx Expressway gives me the chills. Last time I did it in the car I almost got the left front tire of the car tore off by a big foot deep pothole. Scary to think what would happen on the bike... Congratulations on you bike & look forward to reading the...

FJR Value at Retail, great condition, not savaged, etc etc

They don't show any yearly average for mileage, maybe found on the NADA site ? I know the yearly average for the folks around here selling Harleys is between 750 to 1500 a year... Anyway, BMW 1150 RT (ABS model shown) 2005 - 12900 2004 - 10735 2003 - 9010 2002 - 7975

FJR Value at Retail, great condition, not savaged, etc etc

    Figured I'd post up for those folks that don't subscribe. They cover all makes & models, if you have a question about a non-FJR bike ask & I'll post up their retail guesstimate. 2007 - 14510 2006 - 11480 2005 - 9410 2004 - 7830 2003 - 7165 According to MCN, this is a 'national average'...
