Patriot Guard...or maybe Gypsy Joker Crash

For those who choose not to participate, that is your right and opinion. We agree to disagree and I personally feel that you allow your singular or limited experience(s) to taint the overall program with one broad brush-stroke. Personally, everyone I've experienced was current or former...

Patriot Guard...or maybe Gypsy Joker Crash

Actually, I found last friday's PGR ride to be very calm and professional. Your mileage may vary.

    Question for California Commuters:

Ray-ban's California Driving rules... 1. If on a local street and weaving up towards the light, I stop where I'm at once the light turns green and rejoin traffic 2. I never split if there's a solid line in my path. This by default stops me from going around on the "outside" or passing in...

Anyone done a complete paint job on FJR?

Good luck if you're looking to hire it done. Last estimates I got were so high that I could have completely reskinned the bike with new parts from U-motors for as much or less. Not kidding. Painters see all those plastic parts and they see $$$$$

Front Tires and front end decel shake

Diablo Stradas - No shake new, shake when rear changed 3.5k miles later. Doubtful that it's anymore more than just wear.

Short Notice: Patriot Guard Ride, San Diego, Friday 10/5

Yes, Low Level, I am going to this one. It's the third one in San Diego this week, and I've missed the other two. Qualcomm stadium lot, 9:30am. Mass at 11, burial at Ft. Rosecrans after mass. Time to pay respects and put another sacrificed hero to rest with dignity.

    Damn Valves!

Yeah, I think I'm gonna start prescribing an extra "Breast and OB/GYN Check" for all single females between 22 and 50 under 200 pounds. All checks should be performed by a Registered Pervert at least once a year and will cost the "owner" $250 for shop labor and consumables (latex gloves, latex...

    Who R U 09-29-07

Yeah, in my case, I think the camera added 150 pounds to my ***, either that or it was the all-black gear  Great vid as always, dude...

Forest Rat Dead, Bike Dead, Rider OK

Next time Bambi gets in the way or you're trying to figure out a fitting way to shake her loose of her mortal coil post-impact, remember the lessons from the other now-famous thread and just "plow the road"... Drive-by

Forest Rat Dead, Bike Dead, Rider OK

You were on our minds yesterday at the ride, Amigo, as we got the news from the Central Coast folks at the link-up point. Glad to hear you're in one piece. Question: not to side-track, but from a technical perspective, when Don "released" the front brake, they were still probably braking...

Frazier Park, Cerro Noroeste and the famous "33"

Just got in. Had a great time, and took the "long" way home. Went the rest of the route (passed a certain cigar-smoking FJR rider a few times doing so) then came down 101 and moved over to PCH 1 for most of it's duration until traffic got ugly at the southern edge of LA. Gorgeous day after a...

Tire replaced, packed, hitting the road. See you guys tomorrow morning. Low Level, you (and everyone on the FJR support list) has/have my number.

Frazier Park, Cerro Noroeste and the famous "33"

Okay, I'm turning in for the night. The current plan for me is to be at that Denny's at or around 6:30am. It is my intention to leave that area no later than 7am as I am paranoid about driving through LA in the morning, even on a Saturday, and we have to cut right through the meat of it on the...

Ah, okay. Thanks. Low Level and myself+passenger will be heading up the 5 from somewhere yet to be decided.

Frazier Park, Cerro Noroeste and the famous "33"

I'm a little confused at the expectation that we'll already be in Ojai by 12:30 if we're not leaving the start point until 10 and heading way up into los padres from there. Are we changing the route at the last minute again?

Frazier Park, Cerro Noroeste and the famous "33"

Ouch, talk about bad timing. I have a slow leak in my Diablo Strada rear after 3.5k miles. Not sure where yet, but definitely leaking. House of Motorcycles in El Cajon has Bridgestone 021's in stock for 200 for the pair plus install and opens at 8:30, or Two Wheel Tires in Santee opens at 10...

    PCIII on a new FJR?

If you're sticking with stock cans, header and breather, I concurr. If you plan on slapping on aftermarket toys, I see no reason to hold off. Just stick with the stock mapping when you first install it and then dyno it (or download a map from the manufacturer of your toy(s)) when you farkle it.
