    EOM '11

Great job, Wayne!! Snow White and I plan to attend, assuming the dates don't conflict with any wheelchair races in "the Home". Ah, ah I can't remember, does the breakfast bar include prunes, or do we need to bring our own supply?

Looking for durable practical motorcycle type boots

I'm another Cruiser Works fan. I've had mine since 2002 and have had them rebuilt several times. Totally waterproof.

    Reverse Trike

A fat sticky car tire is needed. Also, this is a motorcycle engine and it's OK to rev it up and make some real hp.

    The future of NAFO

Fun to read this thread. Was unable to make NAFO due to moving and prior committments. Having been involved in a number of organizations and their meetings over the years I tend to perhaps oversimplify, so bear with me. When you gather 300 people in one place, you have a far different meeting...

Wanted -> Header Unit for '04

Can if you want, but I doubt that you'll be able to tell any difference. By-the-by, except for the O2 sensors, the headers appear to be the same. Motorcycle Ed, who I think has a 2006 is running my old '03 header and I'm running an '07......don't ask.

Putting New Life Into Old Boots

I've used Resole America several times now and been very happy. The boots come back looking almost brand new. www.resole.com

Lets see..........20 year old girl.....where was her cell phone? Bet she was talking on it!

    Vetter Magic Seat Board

So is someone going to post a pattern, or are we just going to talk about it round and round in circles until it disappears up it's own rear orfice?

    CB Antenna Mounting Suggestions

Holler at Mr. Bill since this sounds like his setup. I've had several arrangements for the CB antenna on my bike, but they all involved being part of a custom luggage rack. For what it's worth, there's plenty of metal in the FJR to establish a ground plane. All my antennas have been standard 4'...

    Maintenance Parts Availability

Let's see, isn't the state slogan "You're going to love it here"?

    side case 2005-2006 blue

By the way you don't need a long drill to do this if you have the rear wheel off for maintenance and can then drill it from the inside.

    Lazy fork oil change

Did you ever see what that original fork oil looks like in 3,000 miles. Can't imagine what it looks like in 90k!!! So you guys up north ride all winter too and don't have time to do a little off season maintenance? IMHO you'll get a much better job and will be happier if you do it right, eh?

    Howie's 58 today?!?

Holy ****, I thought you were much older than that! Happy Birthday you old Fart! Take good care of that rockin' motor!

    190/55?

Go the other way if you want the bike to turn. Try a 170X60 and the speedo won't change noticably, but the bike'll turn better.

What should I look out for on an 03 FJR?

There's a Ben-Full-a-Facts near the beginning of this site that'll tell you more than you'll want to know. A 2003 ia a Gen I.

    V-Stream Windshield

Rifle vent Fred I added this vent to my windshield and like it better than the rifle "tuning block" or washers under the front edge of the windshield. Try it, you might like it.

    death wobble

How do you get that kind of tire mileage? I'm lucky to get 4,000 miles. The last rear lasted less than 2,000 when I was trying to keep Ashe in sight.

    Stripped slider bolt

In my opinion it's a bad design. You should not use that fine a thread in aluminum castings. Guaranteed to be a problem long range. Whatever you do put some No-seaze on the threads since you're putting steel in aluminum and there's likely to be moisture available given the location......sets up...
