    sticky front brake

Thanks for the advice......guess I'm going to have to suck it up and tear it all apart :-( the season will be winding down in a month or so. I may try and hold off and make it a winter project ........

    sticky front brake

Thanks for the advice guys but I don't think I was clear enough. The stiction I feel is when I am applying the brakes at the lever. The calipers themselves are releasing just fine. If I could compare it to a front fork that is sticking during compression. I think its sticking in the master cylinder.

    sticky front brake

I've been experiencing a sticky front brake over the last few weeks. I thought it was just the lever so I greased it and made sure the bolt was not over tight......yet no change. My next thought is the master cylinder. It feels like stiction I've never had this happen but anything is possible...

    Going to the Dark Side

I guess it makes sense......but isn't that a bit much?? I don't think it makes that much of a difference, especially on the rear......but that's just me. If we "darksiders" are throwing CT's on just to save a few bucks why spend any more on brake pads?

    Going to the Dark Side

I agree with fjronamission. The Exalto CT is outstanding!!! my observations thus far.... 1. It never "tracks" grooves 2. It only squirms a bit in deep ruts (from transports) 3. It is SOLID in corners 4. Unbeatable in the rain!!! 5. VERY smooth ride 6. It took less than 15 minutes to get...

    Going to the Dark Side

I rode home the other day in an absolute deluge of rain, and I had a hard time getting the rear to break loose (Michelin Exalto)......very stable!!! Love the Darkside!!! :clapping: :clapping:

    Going to the Dark Side

Ok..............I am now Canadian Darksider # ??? Picked up a Michelin pilot Exalto in Gatlinburg last week and threw it on yesterday.......by myself......with just the tools in the photo (and a bit of soapy water) I left it out in the sun for an hour and it really made it easier to pop on...

    Other roads around Gatlinburg

I'm heading down in two weeks with the SO, and am working on planning rides. Aside from the usual routes west of Gatlinburg (Dragon, Cherohala, etc) I noticed the 107 (Round Mountain rd) and the 209 which runs up into Hot Springs. Anyone from the area have some advice on either of these?? or...
