Big Hit in Eastern Wyoming, Healing the Weeks After a Get Off

There's easier ways to get lamb chops! Heal up! Hey, who's going to make the TU sheep icon for the sig?

    ride around a volcano

Kinda long? Whoa! It's almost 4 1/2 hours long. Can I kindly suggest some editing to pare it down a bit?

    wierd problem

Butterfly sync? Hmmm. Does your mechanic follow this forum and perform a "Really, Definitely Completely Un-Authorized TBS"? I've never heard a butterfly sync being done as a regular maintenance task and figured most mechanics wouldn't mess with the butterfly valves unless something was out...

    wierd problem

And a vacuum leak should be apparent when doing the TBS. That leaves the PC

    wierd problem

I've always wondered if fuel modifications such as BJM or Power Commander install could have an effect on vacuum and be apparent during TBS. After all you're offsetting air volume with fuel.

    Liquid Nitrogen? WTF?!?

And liquid nitrogen could certainly be contained in a PVC container

    Best SuperTenere Forum

Yep, good place. Not quite the depth of this forum... yet, but this place had a head start. We need to buy Ionbeam and Fred SuperT's, then turn them loose over there.

    TripperMike needs assistance

Fuzzy rotors... huh. Guess the Gen 1 is going through puberty early. What's next? Exhaust note drops a scale or two? Start chasing Ninja 300's?

    TripperMike needs assistance

Me neither. I'll defer to 'Zilla's diagnosis. He da man! Am I the only one here who doesn't have his number?

    TripperMike needs assistance

Just use the other rotor, duh! A rotor with a hairline crack means you have a cracked rotor. Are you really asking if a cracked rotor is serious?

    Motion Pro Syncpro

I picked up additional fluid from MotionPro and was able to overfill the reservoirs. By reducing the "air chamber" volume in the reservoir it had the effect reducing the level the fluid will rise during the TBS. If you can imagine taking this concept to its extreme; no air in the reservoir...

Motoport testimonial (aka Hudson fall down, go boom.)

Did you get any abrasions on your hands? I have also upgraded to the Motoport summer race after my previous summer leather/textile gloves came apart in a get-off at half your speed.

Torque values for passenger footrest bolts

I'm a keyboard commando for eight or more hours a day and my built-in-torque-wrench isn't as calibrated as it should be. I'd rather spend a few extra minutes with a torque wrench then spend an afternoon fitting heli-coils.

    Denver Area Tire Sources

BTW, Perforfman will only mount tires if wheel has been removed. If wheel on bike they will send them over to Woody's Wheel Works and have work done there.

    Denver Area Tire Sources

Try Performance Cycle. Seems they carry the popular stuff.

"P" Position on Gen 3 ignition - WTH?

I noticed the European Teneres have a "parking" key position too. Figured it was some requirement over there. Isn't cross-over technology a great thing?

    tire balance

You could have that same problem with stick-on weights. Oh, wait....

    tire balance

Anyone with experience with Dynabeads? Nope, never heard of them. Are you daft man?!? Think of those unsightly lead weights on the wheel! And worse, you taint the environment with lead molecules every where you go! There ought to be a law I tell you!

    Leaky Right Fork Seal

I just had seals replaced on a Super Tenere, took about two days and I didn't ask for special treatment or nuttin. There has to be a better supply for the FJR! I know some dealers keep a lean inventory, I would just think for a wear item like seals they would keep a box full next to the...

    Leaky Right Fork Seal

Bah! Sorry to hear about the false success. I'm batting 000 with seal mate so far (only two attempts though). I'm thinking 60k miles is great service from seals, anything over 30k is bonus to me. Now is the time to get them replaced.
