    Garage Queens Anonymous

Good show BrunDog and graler. I'm pleased to report I'm still a member in good standing. Nearing the end of another riding season and have put on about 2500 miles for the year, woohoo.

Man, I love pictures of Europe. I watch the Tour De France every year just for the video of the countryside. Thanks for sharing.

When do you consider it to be to hot to ride?

Yup, hot and humid here, the bike is staying in the garage. It's just no fun in this weather.

    FJR gas tanks double-wall?

Sorry to hear about you're bad experience at ABC Harley. I'm always stopping in there on my "Jap" bike, never had a problem. The people always seemed friendly and willing to shoot the bull about bikes if not busy. That being said, I have noticed a change in the demeanor of the dealership...

    Good Bye & Thank You

I understand the move (just did it myself), good luck on the search and enjoy the new machine. Nothing like something different to peak your interest in the sport again.

    My new ride

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Just spent a half day and a six pack cleaning and polishing. Karate Kid style, wax on, wax off, wax on, wax off,.......ad infinitum.

    My new ride

I know what you mean, I've never met a bike I didn't like.

    My new ride

Yup, found that out at the first stop, I almost coasted into the intersection. Used my normal FJR lever pressure and the Harley just kept coasting.

    My new ride

Thanks, I ordered the tiller attachment to do the wife's garden, seen in the background. That's how I got the O.K.

    My new ride

I picked it up Friday evening. It's a super glide custom. Initial impressions: It has a lot of chrome, it shakes a lot, it has a six speed trans, it really has a lot of chrome, it really shakes a lot, it has self cancelling turn signal, did I mention it has a lot of chrome and it shakes a...

    Just Mounted a 190/55/17

I've noticed that it seems a little more stable on the side stand also. The extra lean seems to stabilize it.

New VS Used -and other bikes

If I were you, I wouldn't even be considering an FJR. If you felt that your 2005 desperately needed a 6 speed, you're gonna feel the same about the newer FJR's, still only got 5.

    Resurrection of the Widowmaker

I had one when I was in the navy in California. When the ship was getting ready to deploy to Westpac I rode it home on a weekend/holiday/leave combination. Left Alameda with $50 in my pocket, arrived home here in the Detroit area 3 and a half days later with $15 bucks left over. Other than...

slippy clutch until engine warms up

Yup, that's how mine operates. When first starting off, even with 1 bar showing, clutch engagement starts at a higher rpm than after it's warmed up fully.
