AJ, if understood the OP correctly, he said the windshield don't work at all, if the auto return was eliminated/modified pushing/holding the switch would still move the screen up or down.

I was more inclined to use T-mode riding in tight switchback when in 2nd and 3rd gear, I found it to work better/smoother in that condition , otherwise it stayed in S mode. On my little beemer it's ROAD and RAIN mode with the same throttle response change.

Took the short way home...had a great time and the weather was perfect...

Cleaned mine....2650 EOM miles on mine and should make it through Hooterville and back..

Got home safe, started out at 4 am from the Ramada and got to the house at 6 pm central time. The trip was uneventfull until I got to Tulsa when the skies opened up and dumped 2" of rain in 30 min. Had a great time meeting friends I have not seen in quite a while, and met some new ones. Thanks...
