05 FJR & 07 Moto Guzzi Norge comparison

Yeah, but I'll live. I'll just have to add a little bristle brush to my kit in order to clean between the fins on the cylinders... :P

05 FJR & 07 Moto Guzzi Norge comparison

CatDaddy & El Toro: how would you compare the hard bags of the Norge against the FJR - volume (hold a full face helmet?), useability, mounting/unmounting, etc.? I'm seriously interested in the MG Stelvio 1200 ABS (as soon as they add another gallon capacity to the fuel tank...) and the Norge...

2011 Gen 3 FJR 1300 mentioned in Cycleworld

All I have to say is that whatever a new "Gen III" FJR looks like, it had better sound like this: The Motus KMV4 BTW: You've just listened to 140hp/120ft lbs @ the crank. Sweetness.... :yahoo:

Actually, the side fairing looks like it came off the VFR-1200

    Just so y'all know...

Nice. Reminds me of a t-shirt I once saw: "***, gas or grass, but nobody rides for free." Now that's a philosophy..!

    Warchild/Daughter World Superbike Adventure!

Dale, this has been by far one of the coolest threads on this forum in a long, long time. What an awesome trip that must have been! As an aside, how old is your daughter now and at what age did she start getting interested in bikes? I've got 2 teenage boys that haven't expressed even the...

    FuzeBlock vs Centech?

Ralph - If you can wait until I get back from the other side of the planet, I've got a new Centech AP-1 I'll give you. You'd still be on your own to install it. Shoot me an email or PM if you're interested.

    Alternate GPS Units

Old reliable: Garmin GPSMap 60Cx You just can't kill these things; rain, sleet, snow or hail (or taking a 50' drop down a ravine) doesn't even phase 'em. For that matter, it barely even scratches 'em! This mount, a RAM-B-238 mount plate, a short arm and mirror-hole ball and your done!

The 2010 Stelvio 1200 ABS is already on dealer floors in the US. $16K + bags. Details: Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 ABS MCN did a review of this bike recently. I'd say they liked it...

    Yamaha Super Tenere 1200

I was asking myself the same question. So far, the 2010 Stelvio is comparing very, very favorably to the benchmark GS in this segment. And it's a damn good looking bike... As an aside, anyone paying attention to the early reviews on the new Duc MTS 1200..? If not, here's one: MTS 1200 S Early...

    Yamaha Super Tenere 1200

From Motorcycle USA: "ABS is standard, and the XT1200Z uses a sophisticated linking system that allows the rider to control whether or not the brakes act independently. The cool thing is that it can be done on the fly. Yamaha’s Unified Braking System works so that the front brake actuates both...

    Yamaha Super Tenere 1200

It's not likely I'd keep the FJR if I were to buy this (or any other) bike. It's not practical to keep 2 bikes in the garage as my free time to enjoy even 1 bike is limited to say the least. With that in mind, I'm actually looking 2 years ahead to what my next bike will be. A bike with a...

    Yamaha Super Tenere 1200

I'm right there with you. With a 36" inseam, my legs get cramped on long trips. That's even with a custom seat in top position that adds another 3/4" to its height.
