I can't speak about the Corbin but what I've read, your summary is right on. I'm 6'-2" and have the Sargent Seat in the higher seat position. It's perfect for me all around along with a medium height V-Stream windshield.

That's interesting and I didn't know that about the screens. The newest model (595) has the "transflective" screen as well so this must be the new thing. I remember my 550 not being so great in the sun either but I don't really look at the screen all that much, just listen for directions...

Update: Our reconciliation didn't last and I'm officially/legally single, but I bought a slightly used 16A model with 1200 miles. Bitter sweet!

I pulled the trigger on the 590LM refurb. I went ahead and purchased the extra 2 year warranty for $45 to give me 3 years. Fingers crossed.

I see they have a 590LM refurbished $200 less than a new one. Back when I had a 550 I started having issues and paid $100 I think to get a refurbished replacement. The replacement was worse than my original one. They replaced the second one free and it worked but had some gremlins for sure...
