I've had a Tankslapper on mine for about 4 years. If installed properly and carefully you can't go wrong, or mess up the looks of your bike. Cheap as hell too.

I rode for 4 years with the stockers. After seeing the Hexacones for the FJR I ordered them after a couple days. I posted an exhaustive thread in this forum with pics and video. Good luck.

I've got gold Pazzo shorties on my VFR (see sig). Not sure I would put them on the FJR. They are very nice levers tho.

This is the first word of a Stich being more waterproof than a Phantom. I've done research for months on the Phantom and every review and comment (other than the one above) I've read states it's more waterproof than the Stich. Mine should be here early next week. B)

Cerulean silver, same as the '04. "Cerulean" meaning "blue" or form of blue pigment. So, indeed, the '04 and '07 AE are bluish silver in color, especially in the sun.

If I were to buy pre-owned I would look seriously at an '06, or a very well sorted '07.

I would do it again, but not an '08. Black is great for showrooms, not so great as a daily rider. In fact, it's downright a PITA to keep looking remotely clean. I also don't like (it appears) that they got away with a lot of the silver accents on the '08. I'll wait for a Gen III. :ok:

I finally got around to installing a trunk on the FJR for commuting. :rolleyes: A trunk works better than saddlebags for accessibilty day in and day out. I opted for the matching cerulean silver cover. If (when) I sell the FJR I can just part out the cover and transfer the V46 to the next...

If they are the same as on the '04...turn the center with a Phillips. The center should turn out. Then pull out fastener. To install just push the center in once you have it aligned in the fairing.

Other than a leaky water pump at 3000 miles right after I bought it...not a single problem. My handlebars do sometimes vibrate when I take my hands off, but my front tire is shagged and cupped and generally needs to be replaced...but I'm lazy and will do it this winter. If you can't get it...
