Thanks. I do all my own work, including tire mounting. I'm an auto tech by trade so the bike is just a 2 wheeled car ;) I've got pegs mounted on the canyon cages with a passenger peg lowering kit. They aren't in the best location for crash protection, but my legs and knees like em there.

I was thinking a simpler and cheaper design might be more robust The mousetrap is under the front seat.

Today was my first work commute with my modified final drive. RPM's are about 400 lower at any given speed, or speed is about 10 mph higher at any given rpm. It's much smother at my commute speeds with reduced vibration in the bars. Other than hitting familiar curves a bit hotter, I'm liking this!

You are over complicating this. How about a weight suspended in the middle of a circle. I'm thinking a fishing sinker in a metal ring. when you lean and they touch a circuit is closed.

+1 on the connections from RR to battery. The hot voltage may be lower because resistance increases as temp climbs.
