Here is my dilemma - motorcycle *****

First of all - do not use his credit cards to purchase anything, or allow them to be used by anyone else for any purpose. That may come back to haunt you at some point. Turn it on to the DOT or police department with an explanation. Of course, sometimes you can't always avoid strong magnetic...

Why you should check your tires EVERY time you ride

What do you look for while spinning them? You could see gross stuff like nails, screws, large cuts etc. You might miss the small stuff. Tire pressure is a better monitor. I had one of those ones that screw onto the valve stem (shown below), but did not like that mechanism, since they hold...

    Cycle Shell Motorcycle Garage

I'd like to know how well these things work as well. I may be forced to move my FJR out of the garage soon, but can't bear the thought of leaving it out there exposed to rain/wind/cold/heat/birdcrap. I suggested that I could expand the garage, but that didn't fly.

Gen 3 Owners - DON'T Watch This Video!

Yeah - sorry. I could have gotten into the horrible video quality, lack of audio etc., but I tried to keep it civil.

    ABS Light Flashing

I think we all saw this one coming. Yeah - that usually solves my problem, too.

Gen 3 Owners - DON'T Watch This Video!

Wait...so this has something to do with the cruise control, right?

Got to get myself one of these....

It was a joke. The ad says that its a YAMAHA ST1300. If Yamaha made both the FJR1300 and the ST1300, it would probably effect the FJR sales, unless no one bought the ST of course.

Got to get myself one of these....

Yeah seems like this would really cut into the FJR sales

    Side case chrome trim

EXACTLY!!! What's next, leather fringe? They should make carbon fiber ones, that would add a few HP.

Excellent pictures, however, your musical choice makes me want to buy towels.

    Lowering options

Is there anyone on the east coast (particularly the southeast) doing this sort of work? I'd love to do a ride in, but LAAM is a 5600 mile round trip for me.

    Side case protector glue.

Be careful with the RTV. It doesn't always stick well to other smooth or rubber like surfaces. I'd recommend the 3M adhesive shown above, just be careful about getting it on the paint. The specs say it won't harm "cured" paint. If you've recently painted anything make sure to wait a bit.

    Gen1 Subframe Stiffener Kit

Theoretically (which I almost always say), any of the material above the upper bolt isn't doing much to prevent the downward movement of the rear subframe. Is that the area you intended to trim?

Leather Chaps (ladies) on the FJR? my G/F is wierd@!

That dude should definitely switch to Charmin.

    Gen1 Subframe Stiffener Kit

By the way - just how thick is the paint on your bike now?

So - which one of these is your girlfriend?

    Gen1 Subframe Stiffener Kit

First of all - this is an awesome idea. I think it will add considerable strength to the rear subframe under load. However - I love to make things more complicated and suggest additional work for other people (I've made a career out of it for 25 years so far). I think you could make it even...

    Gen III Insurance Increase

I've gotten a pretty good rate from GEICO. I switched to Liberty Mutual for the cars, because it was better than GEICO, but their rate for the bike was nearly double. You've also got to realize that the value of the bike (2004 vs 2013) comes into play as well.

    Steam Powered Wood Box Factory

I was wondering why they cut the top off that old chevy until I saw this: This would give an OSHA inspector fits.
