I'm tired of my crappy FJR brakes. Will Galfer lines help?

Do a search on the Forum for a thread describing where to hook up a switch which will let you pulse the ABS pump without even riding the bike. This is a handy farkle as it lets you periodically cycle the ABS pump without actually having to go out and lock up your brakes to both test the ABS pump...

Good, bad, and the FUGLY Givi Top Case Bracket

What Wfooshee said, the only time the Givi topbox is off my FJR is when I'm stripping it down for maintenance/repairs.

I'm tired of my crappy FJR brakes. Will Galfer lines help?

I think the FJR lines are already reinforced, if you look at the lines closely you'll see what looks like some kind of braiding under the rubber. I know my lines are still in top notch even after 214,000 miles on the bike. There's no getting away from it, this is a freaking heavy bike, and many...

Help deciding on doing fork cartridges or not

I did the GMD Computrack valve upgrade and new springs on my FJR at around 40k miles, along with a Penske 8983 rear shock. It made a huge difference vs. OEM crap. Now, at 214,000 miles my OEM fork cartridges are totally worn out and instead of buying new OEM cartridge which are not cheap either...

Fi2000R Fuel Injection Module any experience?

Dan, you might want to confirm that the O2 sensor you pulled out is supposed to be pulled out, i.e. it sounds like this might be a wideband O2 sensor which is needed by the fuel injection gizmo, however, that's just a guess as I'm not at all familiar with this unit, only the PowerCommander.

Gen II - Strange Cold Start Issue

Did the auto choke work correctly when you started the bike cold? The FJR auto choke uses coolant controlled wax type choke to gradually bring the RPM back down as the coolant heats up the wax in the choke unit. Are there any mods done to the bike, like a Power Commander and/or CO settings...

    Motoport visit

I wonder if anyone here also has or had a BMW Motorrad AirFlow 4 suit (jacket and pants). Would be really good to hear a comparison from someone who's tried both sets of gear. The SG3 gear crashes well too, in that it's not going to disintegrate or rub through like many of the other Cordura...

Michelin Factory Rep Confirms ongoing PR2 Production

Art, how long have you been running the 190/55 rear tire? Are there any fitment issues/considerations, i.e. any mods required due to clearance issues? Is there any noticeable/significant handling difference?

Converting Gen 2 AE to A engine - is it possible?

The engine only has 11k miles on it, and looking at the various parts and gears I can see that is likely true... For example take a look at the shift forks in the pic below, all the gears we could see inside the engine looked equally pristine, as did the cams. The valves where in spec too, and...

Converting Gen 2 AE to A engine - is it possible?

Wfooshee yes, the mechanic said not having to split the cases saved around 2 hours of labor. He eventually agreed to let me watch the whole process, it was mesmerizing. And having seen that I am that much more in awe of you and others who, not being highly experienced mechanics where smart...

Converting Gen 2 AE to A engine - is it possible?

Sorry I've been quiet, but I have great news, the retrofit is done (and working) thanks to the help of a friend and skilled mechanic George Funtech.

2007 FJR Front Brake - only engaging right (linked) caliper

Can't add much beyond what's been said, but I know that when I rebuilt my calipers I made the stupid mistake of not pre-filling the calipers with brake fluid so took a long time and much pumping and mighty vac sucking to get the brakes to feel firm. You mentioned that you upgraded to the...
