    Valve Check - Fairing Removal

Just pulled both side fairings off to do the coolant "********" this weekend. It is very easy. Just don't forget the remove the three phillips screws (each side) above the front wheel.

2 more wheels in the Garage

Don't forget to adjust the headlight. It looks a little high. Congrats on the cool find.

    Topbox Owners - Usage?

100%. So much easier to put the laptop in there than in the sidebags. Also much narrower when moving around traffic. Don't get to share lanes  but sometimes get close during slow speed passes.

Co-worker backed up into my bike

I do the same thing now. I try to make it as visible as possible.

Co-worker backed up into my bike

OMG, probably the same guy used to be my co-worker. He did the same thing to me. I had just gotten off my Concours ('95), walked to the back of the bike and was getting my stuff unstrapped. He pulls up and starts to back into my spot. But then he stops, and I figured he finally saw me and...

    Dropped My FJR

The pictures you took could have been of my 06. I have the same scars from when I dropped it after I first got it. Sorry to hear about the drop. Welcome to the club.

The FJR is my dream bike.

I was in the same boat two years ago. I had been waiting about three years to get to a situation where we could afford to purchase my FJR. However, I had to wait during the PDP period to get my hands on it. Grueling! But since then I haven't had any urge to buy any other bike. The new...

Do you have a strange mind?

The only one I had a short problem with was "ataotl" since the a was connected to the word total.

Please, please send us the pics! My wife and I are planning a similar trip this summer. Hope the Winnebagos aren't too thick in July.

    Correct Conclusion???

What's missing here is that it was three days from the time of his purchase and the time of his tragic death. It was stated that he rode the bike home and parked it. Where were the parents? If they knew he had the bike before his crash they should be the ones responsible because they knew he...

    Tire Insurance

I bought my front BT021 from Cycle Gear and had them mount it. With the mount and an extra $15 they sell a tire insurance. They have about 70 stores around the US but even if you have to buy the tire from another dealer when you cannot find or are too far from their store you bring in the...

New Video of J.Burleigh's commute home post-freeway collapse

How many times have you seen someone open their door when sitting in traffic? Not too often.

    I hate road hazards

One thing to remember is to always ride in the travel lane and not to get off on the shoulder or any place debris will accumulate. These areas are full of screws, sharp metal, nails and other road trash. I have been pretty lucky, one nail in about 36k miles.

    Bugs!!!!!!!

I grew up in North Dakota, lived in Minnesota for eight years and have lived the past six years in Florida. I can tell you the bugs in Florida have NOTHING on the number and size of the bugs in Minnesota. We have taken a number of driving trips back to ND through MN and there is hardly a bug...

Finally got to sit on a new FJR

Get the bike, keep the shirt and buy the bike from that dealer. If he is smart enough to cover the saddlebags before he lets someone sit on the bike, there is some intelligence there.

Bad day for the FJR and me

So let me get this straight, I assume the paperwork you gave him was some type of proof of purchase from the dealership (with YOUR name on it) and you gave him your ID/drivers license. Did he think that someone with the same name as what was on the proof of purchase stole the bike? Like other...

    Trucks, air, & lane position

When I meet a large truck, I too will move to the right wheel track for three reasons. One, the air blast is reduced the farther away you are. Two, as Go Far said, to allow cars behind the truck a better line of sight to see me. And three, especially for dump truck and flat beds, if anything...
