Opinions on service plan & accessories.

$1300 for 6 servicings isn't a bad deal...but you may find you ride the FJR a lot more than other bikes. I guess you would just have to pop full price for the 3rd and 4th servicings of the year ;) Is Excel the dealership you are working with? Really though, I have owned the FJR 2 years and 4...

I do motorcycles. Sherri does Glass. George does both

We all know Khunajawdge, he is a rider from Los Osos (near Morro Bay) and I met him once on a ride down in that area. He met us for lunch and we had a nice time with his wife Jan and him. It was then that we learned that he shared his passion of riding with me, and his passion for glass with...

Funny thing at wifes Army unit today,

I always had fun with the military's rivalries. Thanks for sharing the cool pics and funny story! My high school's fields were at the tail end of one of the attack hellicopter training routes that Fort Carson (Colorado) used. Back then it was Cobras. They would follow the creek and then peel...

    SoCal Fire?

an email from a coworker: It would be weird to return and see devastation all around...I can only imagine what it would be like to see so many people displaced. Terrible.

    Two-Way Radios???

A bunch of us in NorCal bought Kenwood TK3101 radios. We have experienced good comm at 5 miles range. Line of sight can reduce this, but I've been impressed. We keep them in the tank bag with the antenna sticking out (short whip antenna from a handheld)...

    Cam Chain Noise

whoa...thanks Rogue...CCT scheduled for replacement and cam chain scheduled for check. Interestingly enough, the noise started at 39k miles. Was mild, figured bike was getting worn in...now it's worse. So the bike now has 40k miles. At idle, from low on the engine, but above tranny, there is a...

    Cam Chain Noise

I noticed my bike was making a noise coming from low in the engine. It didn't sound like the tickers I have heard. Mechanic tried tightening the cam chain and it seemed to quiet it a bit. He thinks new cam chain & sprocket is a good idea and should solve the problem. This is the same mechanic...

    Considering An Fz6 -07

FZ6 is a great everyday bike. We own an '07. I would say it is my wife's but I ride it more than she does. Light, fast, easy to maneuver, comfortable...the bike rocks. I recomend the larger touring screen if you are going to do any highway miles. Sips gas.
