Funny thing at wifes Army unit today,

I went to help decorate my wifes Army units hanger (here in Fresno) and numerous offices today for a Halloween party were having for the kids tomorrow night, tomorrow is also the big game, Our Fresno State bulldogs will host the Boise State Broncos football team, it's a big rivalry, and unfortunatly for us, Boise usualy comes out on top,

My wifes unit is an AVCRAD, Aviation, repair classification depot, basically they overhaul, paint,maintain or mod Army helicopters, well the Idaho National guard just sent an Apache attack helicopter in for paint, and this is what was on it when it arrived, and from what I heard, they did several low fly bys of Fresno States campus, stadium and practice fields before landing here, i think the Broncos were practicing there at the time?

Now we just got to figure out a good pay back, I said they should just paint it and put two huge Bulldog decals on each side of it and send it back, and the commander is contacting the bulldogs coach to try to get some Dogs out to take some not so flattering pics of our players with the aircraft.

props to Idaho National Guard, that was pretty funny, but I think our logo is going to look good on their Smurf Blue Apache!

Oh and I included a pic of my wifes office waiting room, and a big gun!! I like Guns!! should be fun for the kids.

Thanks to all , My wife really appreciates the support she's gotten while in the Army, Oct 31 "Halloween" is actually her last day on the books as a soldier, she's been using up all her terminal leave for the last three months, she was hired as a civilian contractor to do her same job with her unit, she went home on a Friday in camouflage, and returned on Monday in civi's, she's the base commanders Admin Assistant, they love her out there and her commander says the units operational readiness depends on my wife being in her spot, he says without her the unit would fall apart, that's why when she was retiring, he moved her E7 slot to another part of the unit, and hired her as a civi to keep doing her job. I guess after doing a good job for 26 years, you get a little payback!

And as far as the Warriors go, congrats on a great team, they remind of Fresno state when we had Trent Dilfer and David Carr as quarter backs, as I bet you do , I love to root for all WAC teams, It makes you proud to see teams like Boise, Hawaii and Fresno state competing at the level they do, yah Fresno had a bad ,well horrible last year, but their doing pretty good for a team that's rebuilding, did you see the Texas A&M game, we took it to them but came up short in the third over time,

Last year Boise was the BCS spoiler, it looks like it's going to be repeated again by Hawaii, I'm cheering for ya!!

GO WAC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing the cool pics and funny story! My high school's fields were at the tail end of one of the attack hellicopter training routes that Fort Carson (Colorado) used. Back then it was Cobras. They would follow the creek and then peel off right above our soccer field. We'd wave and so would they. Awesome. In one game, the Cobra startled the opposing team so badly that we were able to score a goal while they ducked. Thanks US Army!!

:clapping: My daughter and SIL live in Clovis and they'll will be taking off work early today (3:30) in order to get to "The Dog House" for food and then off to the Big Game. Her emails all week have been signed: Go Dogs!

Week after next. Next week is Utah State at Fresno. If we don't win tonight, it's all moot. No WAC championship, no glory.

Boise finished last year ranked #11. This is the biggest game since we beat USC in the Freedom Bowl back in the early 90's. Make or break. Hawaii's tough too. The WAC is becoming a respected league.

Go Dogs! I wish I was off, I'd go to the game.

Yah it's not looking good, but we'll see, as long as a WAC team gets a BCS bowl, I'm happy
