Am looking at a 2007 Why no Side Cases?

side cases also fit fj-09. Someone might have used them that way, OEM side cases are a bit pricey. Soft bags are possible option.

Riding a Motorcycle counts as exercise?

Depends on what you ride, where you ride and how you ride. Riding my KLR on dirt roads in the mountains always burns more calories than riding the FJR on the interstate, Then again I've had some pretty good workouts riding twisties on the FJR too.

    Easy USB install

If you already have a quick disconnect pigtail to hook up a battery tender, this is definitely the lazy man's way to add a USB outlet. I bought one this summer and it works great for a GPS device or a phone. Only $10. Just thought I'd pass this along...

Neighbor went to Romania, hasn't come back!

If he's like me, most of his mail is hearing aid or mortuary ads anyway.

Insert your hex key and give it a sharp rap with a ball peen hammer. Worked for me.

    FJ-09 replaced by Tracer 900 ?

When I first sat on a FJ-09 the two things that bothered me was the seat and the wide handlebars. Looks like they addressed both of these items. It will be tough to offer all the features on the GT at a low enough price to compete with the leftover FJR's in the dealer's stock.

    FJ-09 replaced by Tracer 900 ?

the cruise control and heated grips on the GT model would make it the way to go imo

    FJ-09 replaced by Tracer 900 ?

Looking at the Yamaha website. No 2018 FJ-09 but shows a 2019 Tracer 900 and Tracer 900 GT. Looks like same engine with new frame, bodywork and instrumentation. Maybe a good year to get a deal on a FJ-09.

    Too Many Things Not Working!

No help but much sympathy. Being an owner of one of the dinosaur Gen2's I'm not really familiar with all the modern electronics. That being said, if it was me I would probably disconnect the battery for a few seconds then hook it back up. It may not help but couldn't hurt, and I've known it...

I guess I'm going to have a little more time for riding now.

Congrats Kevin! I'm sure you will enjoy your retirement.
