Factory oil looks like sh** after first change

Don't the A and AE have the exact same clutch plates? It's simply the electronic gizmo (YCCS) that actuates the clutch that's different.

    2013 FJR - Product announced!

6th gear and 1400cc I couldn't care less about....but where's the espresso maker????? ...or the magic transformer switch that turns it into a 250 lbs dirt bike with knobblies?

    Road Paint

Thanks for the tip. Be sure to apply a fresh coat of the wax or polish of our choice. That Dawn treatment stripped away any existing wax along with the road paint.

Why does TBS help with engine vibs?

I'm down in Colorado Springs and have experienced a few different FJRs. PM me and we'll work something out.

    Fork suspension adjustment

At first glance, HaulinAshe's thread doesn't explain what effect rebound has The OP is correct that the rebound damping effects the rate at which the suspension expands back out. This is important so that the tire remains in contact with the ground providing maximum traction over bumps, in...

Should I stay or should I go?

This was my first thought as well. Depending on what part isn't comfortable for you, it may be something very easily fixed with some extra cash.

    Silver Penguin in the hospital

These threads are never something we like to see, but appreciate the news, and glad she's (mostly) ok. Heal well!

    The brown pipe mystery

    Brown pipe, anal...sheesh!

What did you do to your FJR today?

That's clearly photoshopped...we all know there's never any sun in the UK ;)

    Is this a good deal?

I see lots of pin striping on the FJR though

    Mountain Bike Rack

The versions I've seen mount in the receiver, not on the ball itself...and the FJR trailer hitches I've seen don't have a 2" receiver, just a place to mount a ball.

A Bike I Can Lean On?

FYI, the stock suspension is well regarded as being under sprung for the vast majority of people. The adjustment you found on the rear is simply rebound damping (no compression adjustment on the stock shock, and "preload" is only served by the Hard/Soft lever). Check out this thread for some...

A Bike I Can Lean On?

No, those aren't stock...they're frame sliders, looks like maybe the OES version. Upgraded suspension will help tremendously, as will Coming Unglued <-- clicky the linky

    Rear Brakes

Change that Denver, PA to Denver, CO and I'd be happy to help :P

    Where is NAFO 2014?

...yeabut...if we do that, that means I'll have to cross the midwest. I DON'T WANNA!!!! :P

    Audiovox ccs100 cruise not working

Just to chime in with a more simple pre-check, I wanted to make sure you were actually trying it on the road and that's when you experience it not engaging. If you're trying to do it on the centerstand or something, the engine needs to be under load (otherwise the RPMs will rise up and the...

    Inflatable Helmet

I saw this somewhere else, and (at least this version) is meant for bicycle riders. They typically do t have full face protection anyway...and that $600 is waaaay more expensive compared to a decent $50-80 cycling helmet.

    CO 2012

But you said these were Colorado pictures...LIAR! :P

Rider down at SW-FOG (relatively minor injuries)

Exactly, we didn't have a tow vehicle...and even if we did, in this case (since it was a multi-day drive back home), an enclosed trailer might have been more preferred anyway. Believe me, we had at least one engineer, a consultant, a cop and several others who I don't know their profession...
