Where is NAFO 2014?

I will boldly promise on hehalf of all your Canuckistanian friends, that we will enthusiastically support the hell out of whomever does decide to throw their hat in the ring and take NAFO 2014 on. Whether it's run by the organizers of CFO or SWFOG or WFO or EOM, or even by BeemerDonS and Skooty, is not nearly as important IMO, as that it be run by a small group with the enthusiasm, time, and thick skins to take this on and to make it happen. If there is one thing that the CFR organizers believe in our heart of hearts, it is that you must plan these rallies way out in advance and get your dates released in time so that the FJR keeners who still work for a living (poor *******s) have enough time to bid for the vacation time they will need. With NAFO and the substantial distances/time involved for many/most attendees, that becomes even more critical.
Stellar! This is the attitude that NAFO was born of and wholeheartedly agree. :clapping:
Hear hear!

Hubba, hubba, hubba!

Nice work Rick!
https://www.explorelacrosse.com/ +1, Gunny; great work Rick on volunteering to be Rally Master for NAFO 2014, La Crosse will be a perfect location for this FJR Forum event!

https://motorcycleroads.com/Routes/Wisconsin_125.html I have attended two BMW MOA International Rallies in Wisconsin and the riding was great with friendly locals: 1993 in Oshkosh at the Fairgrounds and 2007 in West Bend at the Washington County Fair Park. https://www.wisconsinmotorcycling.com/maps/sw/index.php

I must be insane for this but yes as chief cook and bottle washer of CFO for the last few years I'm willing to do NAFO 2014.

...yeabut...if we do that, that means I'll have to cross the midwest. I DON'T WANNA!!!! :p

I bet there is a route through SE Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, eastern IA, and Wisconsin that would rock! :clapping:

Go ahead and post it up here Wheatiecakes and your Papa Chuy Viejo will follow it, ese!

Rick, you are pucking futs!

However I think this would be an awesome location in the mid section of the US of A. This would be central enough for peeps from both coasts to get a chance to meet and it's not too far away from Cannuckistan either.

LaCrosse is real nice town and the cost of most things are cheaper than either coast. The alphabet roads in SW Sconnie are a hoot, nice hill country and riding along the Mighty Mississippi River was fun. Rick also gave me a great route over to Michigan and up to Copper Harbor at the top of the UP. Well worth a ride if you are that close. With Ricks extensive knowledge of the upper mid west he can produce routes that will send you places you would never go otherwise.

I'm sure his Rally Rally would be entertaining for the rally types (can anyone beat Iggy?)

I'd like to see it be scheduled in Sept. with less humidity and chance of summer thunderstorms, perhaps a touch of fall color like it was in 09 when I was there. Here's a few pics from my visit, my FJR was a bit obese on this trip :)

+1, Gunny; September would ensure more participation from the Southwest since we have to cross the hot and dry barren wastelands to get there, fall color would be a bonus for we Desert Rats since our cactus don't change color! Bug, what is humidity?

Yeah, crossing Nebraska or Kansas is the price you have to pay to get there. :dribble: Well Worth it! :yahoo:

Dave can speak on my behalf anytime! Eloquently stated and right on the money!!!

Glad I didn't imagine that conversation. :) You have my support on behalf of CFR. It appears that Don is staying his bid, so unless there is another region looking to step up, looks like the Question has been answered!

LaCrosse, here we come!!! :yahoo:

Although I won't likely reside in the midwest in Fall of 2014, I will gladly scout out every last WI, IA road possible to assist if needed. ;) Even if I have to travel to Arkansas to get it right. :D

...Though I know you crazy 'sotans already have a pretty good handle on the area. :)

Wish I had that tank, it would work well with what I want to do to my Trident.

(Sorry completely off topic)

So if CFO does NAFO '14 in SW Wisconsin, maybe SW-FOG will do NAFO '16 in Utah? <<< please?

Sounds great to Papa Chuy Viejo, I will talk to Scott - phroenips, Shaun - COSFJR and Big-Dan about our forming a four man committee to start the planning for NAFO 2016 in Utah. Maybe even include that horse's ass HotRodZilla on the team!
