    SW-FOG 2012 icon/avatar contest

I give up. my lowly little bucking FJR can't compete with what I'm seeing posted here (sheep, hot tubs, bikinis, etc.). dang....

Weird. I changed my avatar to the bucking FJR but now on the iPad it is back to the old cowboy avatar. Hmmmmm. Stay tuned. More to come.

    SW-FOG 2012 icon/avatar contest

This is my new avatar. I designed the bucking FJR sticker and now have it mounted on the back of my Tucson. Lettering would have to be added. It is not 100% accurate for FJR but the FJR was my inspiration. That and the Pendleton Whisky "let 'er buck" logo. Looks a little like a stoppy I...

    GPS mount

I've been looking, too. Couldn't figure out exactly what I wanted and where it needed to be mounted. RAm has a EZ Strap system mount that uses your garmin cradle and is somewhat adjustable where you put it and how to configure the angle. I got the 3" stem for more variation on where, angles...

Colorado Ride being planned & need ideas for shipping my FJR

July would be better than June. Locals can give you the best info but many years Trail Ridge Road is not open until 7/4 or later. And that early many mountain passes (and you will need to go over the mt passes) can be treacherous. Look into Creed, CO. The route in from the south and was a...

    WY Old Highway 14

Thanks! exactly what I needed to hear. I've done the hike before and have never been bothered by altitude, even 14'ers. But was a bit concerned about the size and depth of the gravel. I was pretty sure it wasn't paved. Microsoft Streets/Trips lists the "old us14A" segment as 1.7 miles and...

    WY Old Highway 14

West of Sheridan, WY is a place called the Medicine Wheel. I've been there many years ago via car and can't recall how much of the road is paved. I know there is a parking lot and then you have to hike up a gravel road to the medicine wheel. What I'd like to know is is the road up to the...

    Motorcycle Ergonomics Site

nice. thanks for posting. interesting that with my fjr drivers pegs dropped and with the bars in the full back position it pretty much matches the guzzi norge that was in my top three bikes before buying the fjr. On the ergo site I shortened my inseam 2 inches to simulate the dropped pegs.

    Test Drive

If you rode a new stock bike I don't get it. I have 34" inseam. Only time I hit the fairings is when I had the highway pegs on. I ride with the seat in the low slot but use driver peg extenders for a little leg room. My stock windscreen only shook when I followed or passed a semi at highway...

    Arkansas Twisty Ridin!

Don't know if you have motel reservations yet or not. I stayed in Jasper this summer for an overnight. We rolled in about sundown and took the first place we saw. Gordon Motel. $20 each for a two bed room with a bath room about the size of a phone booth. Had not been updated in 50 years...

Make your own custom in-ear audio plugs using Sugru

have you heard of ear-fuze? similar stuff but doesn't take overnight to set up. I used ear-fuze and am happy with the results. they send you enough for a trial run on one ear to practice.

    Motels

have stayed at the Blue Spruce in Lamar, CO and liked it enough to go back a second time. the continental brkfst sux but I prefer to grab a cup of coffee and a donut in the lobby and then find a restaruant or diner an hour down the road. also stayed at a nice mom and pop in Chadron, NE that I...
