Well, any way, if you don't get the liners ...... don't let the dealers service department keep your spare matching keyed lock because they can't figure out where to mount it. You'll need it if you ever decide to buy the touring trunk which come without any lock and is useless without one...

:D Getting to the battery requires removal of one panel....two screws and a quick fastner. Takes all of two minutes to do it. :yahoo:

:dribble: Ain't, I say,ain"t no way anything higher than 1/2" is gonna fit on my bike. Cables are nearly maxed out at rearward position. I could use a little more height to relax my shoulders, but it ain't gonna happen without longer brake & clutch lines.

:yahoo: Thanks for the info, I was able to find a four piece set at Autozone for 9 bucks. P/N 25222..the one that fits the lock screws is T6H. Went the cheap route since I'll probably never use them again.

:) Good point, just found out while trying to install the lock that it needs a special hollow nose hex or torx wrench to remove those screws. Of course, the Dealer Service guys have no such wrench....so obviously they could not have loctited them!!

:( Sorry to hear your misfortune, insurance advice is not what you need, though. You need to remember that you have 145 hp in your right wrist and it will blow you away in an unthinking instant!! Keep that in mind and you will be on your way to moderation in all things.

:unsure: Thanks to you guys that are on the stick, had my new FJR 06 delivered early this month and then Yama Mama finally put part numbers on their web site for the trunk, back rest, etc. Ordered the trunk, etc. and came in with no lock! Dealer sez need to order, cost $40!! OK, I'll bite, get...
