    LUCKY

Well... it looks like the speedometer is in Kilometers, and the license plates on the cars are long rectangle shape, I would bet he is in Europe. Streets like that are not uncommon in Europe.

    BREAK IN

I'm not saying that the manufacturers recommend method is wrong. All I'm saying is that there are altermatives that do not go against the manufactures recommended procedures, that are documented and proven. Motoman gives good valid reasons why his method works. It's each individuals choice to...

    BREAK IN

I've as many of us here have been around the block a few times. I've built, bought and broke race engines, car engines and bike engines. I've been involved with motor sports and engineers for more then 25 years. I've seen/heard many theories about why things work and why they don't. I've also...

    BREAK IN

Once again, nobody can can come up with even one piece of evidence or one case where the Motoman break in has harmed any bike. TWN, can you provide one case out of the thousands of people that has used this method that proves you are right and everyone else is wrong? On the other hand there are...

    Right foot got heavier?

I'd bet that you are now getting better at your stops and using more front brake then before, which is transfering more weight forward, causing the rear ABS to kick in more.

Are there any female FJR owners?

A good friend who is a VFR rider would have strongly considered an FJR if she was taller then 5'2". She has to tip toe on the VFR, so teh FJR was pretty much out of the question. She also has a DRZ400 and it's been lowered, but it's still too tall for her and not confidence inspiring because...

    Cupping

I ran 36 front on MZ4's for over 8K and had virtually no cupping at all right down to the wear indicators. Different bikes with different tires I had cupping no matter what pressures I ran. I stand by the what I said and what has been mine and others experiance that pressures have less effect...

    Cupping

It means just that. The tread looks cupped. It's the same thing. Cupping is the tire "wearing irregularly" Huh? You can't No. No. Tire/Bike combinations, loads, surface condition and riding style all play a part. It's not inevitable. So the answer is unknown mileage. No. Now you know.

    two colors for 06!!!!!!!!

I also was at the Seattle IMS today and saw the '06 FJR. The color is way different then the '05 galaxy Blue. The Cobalt blue is lighter and has a green tint to it, where the Galaxy is darker with a red tint to it. The paddle shifter isn't in the best of positions and I would probably shift...

    know what these are?

Yeah you may be right about the discussion not being here, and not showing up in a search. I tend to forget that this board is fairly new. I know that it was on the EZ board a number of times. However... the responses and pictures in this thread clearly show what they are for. Isn't there an...

    know what these are?

If you would take the time to read this thread and many of the previous threads about these rubber things, you would see that indeed his question has been answered. It is for the u-lock that we in the US don't get from Yamaha. As for the dealer not knowing.... wow a dealer not knowing something...

    The "dreaded Tick" Solved?

So tell us where doing a motoman break in goes against the advice of the owners manual? I've never spoke with any of the Yamaha egineers to get their advice, but according to my owners manual a motoman break in is well within the perimeter for a proper break in procedure.
