My opinion is that conditions might only be perfect on the track. Anywhere else we must allow room for things like that. Glad lane departure/off-road excursion came out okay.

Glad you are o.k. Just when is starting to rain the road is the slickest. All the dust, oils, and pollen just wet forming a vey slick stuff. When is pouring all that stuff is washed away and the tire threads are doing their job evacuating water from the contact patch. No water to evacuate...

Angus, Meassure your noggin at the forehead (swetband stile) and if your head meassures between 22 1/8 and 22 3/4 inches you are Medium; between 22 7/8 and 23 1/2 you are Large. Like Twowheelnut said, SHOEIs are true to size. I have a RF1000 and came out right using this guide.

...usually rushing things up won't lead to anything positive, specially with new tires. I guess everything is well scrubed now! Next time a little Armour All to his patience would produce nicer touring days.
