Sitting in the Denver Airport. Meeting the new potential employers for dinner. Hope they are understanding sorts. At the 14 hour mark now. Getting ready to board my third plane for Casper. Most likely look and smell like a long day. I will read all the new posts soon and respond accordingly...

Well, I leave shortly. Some interesting perspectives. With just enough humor thrown in to keep me chuckling. And some very solid support for a solid motorcycle. Thanks again to everyone for your feedback, support, and well wishes. Win, lose or draw, I will update upon my return next week...

    FJR for Casper Wyoming

I have been over the Beartooth Pass on a bike. Top of the World had what could be the best value in a cup of coffee anywhere. I think it was seventy-five cents. It was summer but it was snowing up there and I was cold. I couldn't believe you could get a coffeee way up there for that price. I...

    FJR for Casper Wyoming

I guess it's a good time for a picture. The Tetons from the Idaho side. This was heading back toward the east on my last big bike trip. Man has Driggs ever grown up. I remember back when the pick-up with the Potato on the bed was a major attraction. Not it looks like a suburb of Jackson.

    FJR for Casper Wyoming

I took a look at that chart. Pretty interesting. I see they did not include Tax, Title and License. I bet that would alter the numbers somewhat. I have to guess that the antelope add a bit to Wyoming's overall cost. Those "Turbo Goats" make me nervous.

    FJR for Casper Wyoming

Wow, i didn't expect this much response, thanks so much! Huh, seems pretty unamious. Relatively rare on the internet. I must be on the right path. I almost went to work in Gillette in the early eighties. At the time I think Wyoming had a population of about 200,000 folks. It is closer to...

    FJR for Casper Wyoming

Hey FJR folks, I have been thrown a bit of curve. I fly out to Casper on Monday for a job interview. I have been trying for years to get west of the Mississippi. I had all but given up. But this one looks somewhat solid. I have passed all my apptitude tests with flying colors. And fortunately...

    Thinking of Returning

Well today I was in my dealer picking up a tankbag for my Tenere. A guy I talked to on the road once and passed several times on a Black Gen 2 FJR pulled in and we got to talking. He is Jonesing for a Tenere. So I offered him a test ride on mine. Since we were both heading in the same general...

    Thinking of Returning

There are certainly worse positions to be in. And the Tenere does open up some less than stellar roads. Which we have plenty of up here in the Adirondacks. At the moment, I am just thinking out loud. Both truly are great bikes.

    Thinking of Returning

Sounds like a great deal. Shoot me your checking account and routing numbers and I'll drop an extra $1,000.00 into your account so you can personalize it when you get it.

    Thinking of Returning

Yes exactly, That was one thing I loved about the FJR, it was like owning two differnt bikes. A relaxed well mannered bike below 6K, And a snarling beastie above. The Tenere does nothing wrong. But I may give up on my self imposed one bike limit. And look at the FJR and maybe a KLR down the...

    Thinking of Returning

The Tenere has seen its fair.share of dirt. I had just washed it. A fairly rare occurance. It does nothing wrong. It just doesn't quite get me there. It is getting better though. Not a lot of miles I am just about 4,000. It is starting to smooth out nicely. Got it late, and was out of town for...

    Thinking of Returning

I have a 2013 Super Tenere. It is a nice bike. It's just not ringing my bell. Thinking of returning to the FJR. I was getting gas the other day, when from the rear, I heard this mean turbine sound pulling up behind me. I knew what it was before I even turned around. The guy was on a Black FJR...

Garmin Aumo 550 vs. Garmin 2730

What about the zumo 450? It seems to have most of the 550s features, sans the xm and blue tooth. Quite a bit cheaper, too.

    Well I Did It

Just brought home my new Black Cherry FJR. All I can say is Wow. Or Holy S--t Batman what a nice bike. This was my first ride on an FJR. Wish I had done this sooner. How can anyone not like this bike. Smooth, stable, stupid fast. Nice sound, but not obnoxious. I have been on BMWs for quite...
