Just got back from a 2700 mile Colorado trip.

All the connections are tight, the ground from battery to frame is tight. The spider recall has been done. Yamaha said they couldn't help me out unless I could replicate the problem. So I guess I hope it doesn't die on my trip to Colorado in a few months. Going to add towing to my insurance...

Thanks will check into that lead too. No other weird issues just intermittent dying. Can't seem to replicate it yet by wiggling anything.

How do I find the ring terminal grounds to check them.?

I had the ignition switch recall done. I am not sure about the spider. It might not have been done. Will check with the dealer on that. Are these symptoms of a spider problem?

Ok figured out how to check fault codes. No codes stored on ecu.

Just got back from a 800 mile ride. Three separate times during my trip. The motor would die and restart about 5 or 6 times in a row. It was like someone was flipping the red kill switch off and on randomly. I couldn't find anything that was triggering. It would only die for a second or two...
