The reflector is pricey - I know because I've already had mine changed under warranty once because the polycarbonate crazed on the inside of the assembly - and the replacement has started doing the same. As it happens I still have the old assembly - to give you an idea . . . https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?s...c=26025&hl= - and the current one is worse than the original.

The general feeling is that when conditions are right, gasoline fumes can be drawn into the reflector while refueling. The solvent fumes then react with the plastic.

As you've no doubt discovered, the part retails at $561.85 and www.ronayers'.com will sell it to you for $417.36. Then you get to savor the enjoyment of disassembling the nacelle to replace the thing.

Sometimes they show up on Ebay, but you need to be careful that all of the mounting tabs are in place and that it will fit your machine - there are a number of different versions, depending on the model year and intended region, so make certain you are getting the right one for your bike by checking the part number.
