Purchased my 2010 FJR back in April of this year. When I took the bike in for the 600 mile service I mentioned to the Service Manager that the Right Mirror had some vibration around 4,000 RPMs, other than that no problems. Once the service was complete he told me that there were several bolts on the bike that needed to be re-torqued (normal), and that this may solve the mirror vibration. In all fairness, the service manager (Travis) stated that if it still continued to bring it back and they would look at replacing under warranty.

Fast forward to last week (Bikes, Blues and BBQ in Fayetteville, AR)I stopped by the Dealership and explained to Travis that the vibration in the right mirror was still there. Travis has now ordered a replacement mirror under warranty.

I appreciate the fact that they are trying to remedy the problem, but I'm not 100% convinced that replacing the mirror is going to correct the problem.

Anyone else had an issue with Vibration in Right Mirror?? What corrected it.

**By the way, if any of you are needing service done on a FJR and live in the NW Arkansas area, I highly recommend asking for Travis. He's familiar with the FJR and has completed the MotorsportsTechnician School.

I think that's pretty common. You can reduce the vibration by twisting the mirror within the housing so that part of the mirror is quite assertively touching the housing. Maybe someone has a picture of their twisted mirror for visual aid?

There's no fixing it. Moving the mirror all the way out and then back to adjustment will help some, but it will probably never go away.

I got FZ1 mirrors a while back and used homemade rubber spacers under them. No vibration in either mirror. Maybe a rubber spacer under the OEM mirror would help.

My 10 does it also. I did talk to a guy who had put mirror extenders on his 10 and said the problem went away after that. Don't know that the extenders had anything to do with it or just the fact that he had to put in new bolts and may have gotten them tighter that the stock ones.

As UP pointed out, very common to have a fuzzy RH mirror. Rotate the mirror slightly CCW until it touches the housing and the vibration goes away.

Solved! ;)

Had that problem with the right mirror on my 2011 until I put the mirror extenders on. Stoped it.

I cut a piece of "memory foam" to fit behind both sides of the mirror. That helped quite a bit. Make sure to use a piece on both sides - if you use a piece on only one side, the foam will gradually push the mirror out of adjustment. You can use a piece of double sided tape to hold the foam in, but I just wedged mine in.
