15th annual Ride to the Rock!

Ladies and gentlemen:
I am putting on the schedule the 15th annual 'Ride to the Rock'. The ride leaves from my humble abode in Lincoln RI at 9am and travels the backroads of southeastern MA to Plymouth MA to visit 'the Rock' in honor of our forefathers and Thanksgiving. The ride is held the Saturday after Thanksgiving each year (rain/snow date Sunday 11/27). The ride will go on regardless of how cold it is or how many attend-we have had as many as 29 bikes and as few as 3. We couldn't care less what you ride but we do require the noisy HDs to ride in the rear. Leave a message here if you would like more info and directions to my house. DRESS WARM!! Coffee and donuts will be served before the ride at 7:30. KSU at 9am.

Last year we added the National Monument to our Forefathers to our route, which we found be accident while pre-riding the route. It is a 150 foot tall granite statue which has to be seen to be believed.

George,

I think you hold the record for the longest running annual group ride. But, you must have lost the picture of the big 2015 group?

Here's a little photo assist:

Don't tease us Bob if you don't mean it...

I, truly, do mean it. I am going to try and get my brother, or maybe brother's to come with me. It will be an iron butt like weekend, though, as I will have to ride up Friday to my younger brothers, ride to your place and the rock, back to my brother's, and then back home Sunday. Definitely doable!

Looks like about an eight and a half hour ride (with no stops) to Steve's house for me...JSNS

About the same for me. I'll take the long way around, though.

...better leave now, then

Dress warm fellas this ain't no picnic. Temps could be anywhere from the 30's to the 70's. It's a New England thing, ya never know.

Tentative,

Dave

I remember seeing 16° on the display the year I had to call George for a jump. Think it was even colder than that though.

Calendar marked and keeping my fingers crossed for this year.

Dave's right. AT KSU (9am), I've seen 22-55 degrees. Doing a pre-ride tomorrow with Bill (Scorpa) to verify road conditions.

Yeah, it doesn't go below 16. We did a camping trip a few years back the weekend after thanksgiving. We got up to heavy frost and temp indication of 16 on Sunday morning. It stayed 16 for a long time. I don't even know how cold it really was. I was quite warm on the bike, though.

You could qualify for the distance award.
