My friend got his 04 with less than 1000 mikes for $3,000.00 + $500 for shipping from Calif. He sold his ST1100 for 3K, not a bad upgrade for $500.00.

Wow, I just clicked through all the "relisted" ads. LOL. You'd think after relisting like 6 or 7 times that you would realize you're asking too much. I would have to say I'm with the weary crowd. To be honest, I don't think I would pay any premium for this bike. In face, I would probably pay less than I would for a bike that has a few thousand miles on it. It may be "like new" on the odometer, but internals the thing would be a big risk. As the thing sits for 9 years, the rubber gets hard (seals and such) since they aren't being lubricated or flexed, and the oil that is supposed to be lubricating internal components settles in the bottom and runs off the parts it's supposed to be protecting. Someone could buy this thing and may never have a problem, but there's a definite chance of problems. I've worked on enough equipment that has sat for years to know this first hand. Another red flag for me is the unanswered question of why was it ridden less than 500 miles and then parked for 9 years? I picked up my 08 in pristine condition with 7900 miles for like $8400 or $8600, which after seeing some of the prices people are paying here may have been a little too much, but that seemed to be a good deal for what FJR's were going for last summer in my area. It also had the audiovox cruise installed with the eastern beaver power distribution box on it as well as the Yamaha storage cover (nice unit!). Guy took really good care of it and I'm very happy with it.

This guy isn't too smart.

He's listed it like 3 times at $8,595.00 and has ZERO bids in 3 listings at that price!

Hmmm......might need to lower the price??

Good point. It's been a long time since I listed anything on eBay but, doesn't it still cost you something every time you run an auction, even if it doesn't sell?

Fred W, Ebay has been allowing a pretty high number of free listings per month for quite some time. Problem now is they charge fee not only on selling price but on your shipping too! They did this after a large number of people were selling some expensive stuff for ridiculously low price but charging hundreds for shipping to avoid the Ebay fees. Now they're getting you at both ends.

The guy has 15 listings and only ONE has any bids. None of the bikes have bids, which should tell him somehing. I still say shady....
