Just came back form a nice hot day ride. Notice a coolant drip forming on the bottom bolt of the water pump. Looks like it has a copper washer behind it?? It check to see if it was loose and just touched it back and coolant whizzed out pretty good. So i figure it was not tight. I tightened it and no drips after a few hours. Only let maybe a half ounce out.

i did search here and google but found nothing. Sorry if this is a repeat.

Thanks

Josh

It's a cooling system drain. If you bought the bike new, and are just now discovering that it has a drain, the drip is the least of your problems.

Well it only has 11k on it now. 5k of that this year. It had a new rad put in about 1.5yrs ago after a rock went through it. Dealer did that. So no worries just havent needed to drain it :) . Glad i got before it got really loose that would suck. Nice that it has a drain. Guess i should check out that service manual i just got.
