Latest word from Yammie is that they're going to reconceive the whole project as a 750cc adventure bike. They're agreeing with BMW that the sport-touring market is dead, but they want to go forward with a smaller touring model.
Actually they should create a smaller version of it. Honda has the 800cc Deauville (electric windshield, side bags, shaft drive) but not in the US. We need something like that! BMW has the F800ST but with a fixed windshield and BMW expense.
I saw a FZ6 with saddle bags on e-bay (in blue). My son said "look, a mini FJR". Add a lower fairing and electric windshield, it could be. 'Cept it looks cooler with the underseat exhaust. Be great for those that can't handle the weight of the 1300.

Hey, any information leaks out there? Let's start here to submit some concrete facts, if available. Let's stay away from the usual rumors and babble...
I do know that "concrete" is a sumbitch on yer hide and, it's hard as hell!

:jester:
Works great in compression but not worth a **** in tension. :construction:

Well, I hope not. I'd be tempted to buy one and I haven't used up the one I have.

The only drawback I can see regarding the V-Max engine in the FJR is what the price might be. That V-Max is expensive.

It's an old song, but I'd jump right on an 800cc FJR. Maybe it's because I park each day in a cramped downtown parking garage with my feet down squeezing into spaces. My guess is Honda's not gonna do jack with the VFR for a while, so I'd like to see Yamaha eat their lunch with an 800 first.

I heard the 2010 will be a new shade of black...............
Only the frame, swingarm, forks, handlebars and stuff. The rest will be painted white.

They're going for the Stormtrooper look.
